Minutes after wrapping up the title and it's official, Ryan Dungey will be on orange through 2017.

I'm glad for him, but I think his business manager might have waited until the the sweat had dried and got more $. I imagine Stefan (Everts an/or Peierer) was on the phone saying do it now! Before he catches his breath!

What happens next year when Marvin moves up? Will they run 3 big bikes or does Marvin find a new home? I imagine that Deano has at least another year left on his deal.. Or Maybe Marvin stays down again..

I think Dungey would have been smart enough to see contract prior to tonights race. I highly doubt KTM slipped it in front of him after half a bottle of champagne.

Deano would surely have been a two year deal...

Unfortunately for him he'll probably feel the need to perform, which could work either way. I hope he manages to ride within his head and just do well, he deserves a turn of fortune and it'd be pretty amazing to see those 3 having good years at the same time.

Congratulations to Dungey, DeCoster & KTM. I would have been completely blown away had it gone any other way. I couldn't imagine Ryan jumping ship when this one is sailing so well.

Is is just me, or does anybody else think that Musquin would be a natural for the KTM 350? Cairoli certainly make it work against a field of factory 450's in the GPs...and Marvin's size/weight/style is very close to TC222's. Of course, the rules here would make it impossible for KTM to play with the actual displacement like the factory gets to in the GP's...but I still think Marvin would shock the crap out of a lot of people on the 350. It might also change the general opinion of many about the 350 being a vet class bike.

I think the tracks are too fast in America to make the 350 work. Maybe indoors would be good.

He'd be crazy to leave a brand that has been willing to reinvent their bikes entirely in order to make them competitive and to his liking. Clearly this new model suits him well!

True . I think Cairoli has even said that if he were to race here he would probably choose the 450.

I doubt that the negotiations started right after the race......

Deal was probably done a few months ago but announcing it on the night of clinching the title is a great touch.

if alessi can win races (and get holeshots) on a 350 then Im sure marvin could!!! I agree, I think the 350 would suit him perfectly. I think it would be a good fit for a lot of other riders too (tomac, Barcia, Baggett)
