I'm not too happy with how time has changed since I'm older.

I used to have more time.

Either I've lost my ability to use it efficiently OR it has actually changed in it's form and provides less for me now than it did.

Time is a shape shifter!

True..

1) Cryptic thread titles. I bypass them 99% of the time. If you aren't smart enough to know how to title a thread then I have to question if the thread is even worth clicking on.

2) Drive through lanes at restaurants. Get your fat butt out of the car and walk in.

3) Loud people

4) Mondays

5) Monsanto

I'm with you there ! Why speed up ? Pisses me off so bad not like there's a lot of room for error if u want to pass me I'll hit breaks n let u go ASAP I don't want to ride beside a car much less another commercial truck retards ! I drive 20ft cargo n if you ride next to my rear wheels to long I'll be 1/2 n your lane !

On the flip side of that, many trucks are governed to say 60mph. So, when we come up behind another truck going say 56mph, it will take a while for us to get around it. Especially if the joker speeds up just before we complete the pass. I certainly do not want to be out in the fast lane holding people up any longer than I have to, but sometimes stuff happens.
Yup, that's my biggest pet peeve...this happened to me the other day, truck on the left tried passing truck on the right for 10 miles at about 45 on a 70mph open highway, and in the end he couldn't do it, and fell back in line behind the truck he was trying to pass...

My neighbors dog. The little bastard runs across the street in a beeline straight for my yard, just to stand there and bitch me out for being outside. All the while, the owner of said mutt just sits there on her elephant sized ass and giggles because she thinks it's cute. This dog is not much bigger than a healthy cat, and I've never done a thing to it since they moved in a few months back. I wonder how much Fatass would giggle if I let my St. Bernard out of the back yard next time her little princess comes over.....

In a lot of cases we get stuck out in the left lane when passing someone. I know in my own case I am not heavy and I run with my cruise control on at a steady speed. You would not believe how many times per day I catch up to some slow poke, pull out to pass them, and they speed up to match me when I'm half way past them. It's maddening, it's not like I want to be over there. I'll speed up and they'll do the same, staying even with me. People behind me get pissed, and there's nothing I can do about it. If I back out of it to get back over to the right, they really get pissed. As soon as I start slowing down, anyone that was behind me jumps into that right lane and starts passing me on the right instead of letting me get over. I look like the bad guy no matter what.

My truck can do 100mph and get there pretty quickly but I'm pulling a 53' billboard with my employer's name plastered all down the front, side and back. Can only exceed the speed limit so much before people around me are likely to report me for being dangerous, so there I sit in the left lane because the idiot beside me is trapping me there.
I also drive a work vehicle and feel your pain. My van has GPS tracking. If I exceed 72mph for more than 3 minutes, an email is sent to my boss, or so they tell me.

Slow drivers. When Semis are blowing past you going 85-95 on the open road, you should be going at least 100.

Id never let a semi go faster than me. I dont give a shit what speed he's going.

My list is so fucking long it should be a things you DONT HATE

Part of my daily life right now is inching my way through the game Motorstorm.

So, Motorstorm. Fuck this game. I'd rather read a dictionary.

It has a combined score of 84 on Metacritic and Supercross has a 48, a 36 point difference. Uh--no.

(p.s. Supercross' online play was a daily annoyance until I got tired of it and started playing other things.)

Dude in the squat rack who decided to string all of his rubber band resistance bands across it, and perform some wacky shit in there for 30 minutes so I couldn't hit my wheels Bro.

My gym only has one squat rack.

By the way, for all you perpetually angry people, you should listen to this podcast

http://thebiggestproblemintheuniverse.com/episodes/

...where this guy, whose humor and voice informed a generation (think Brotocross):

and this guy:

...get together every week and rant about all the shitty stuff in the world.

It's worth it.

I hear ya. I live right next to Canada and see that a lot of Canadians have to come down and get MRIs because the wait is so long. The healthcare is BS but I've also talked to people who lived in truly socialist countries. one guy was a hockey player who played for the USSR. He was at a tourney in Lake Plscid NY and was telling me stories about how they had to wait inliner for 2 fuckin hours for a loaf of bread so when I hear bitch about "socialism "in North American countries it drives me nuts.

Ya I could go on a bit of a rant...

Going to work when my bike is clean and its beautiful outside.
People doing their grocery shopping at gas stations while their car sits in front of the pump...
People that can't drive properly.
People driving in my blind spot forever.
People that can't walk normal speed.
People that walk up to their vehicle and press the 'open rear hatch' button and wait for it to open when they have nothing in their hands and are perfectly healthy human beings. Use your hand, its faster!!!
People that take elevators less than 2 floors instead of the stairs.
Selfies.

Damn that felt pretty good.

On top of many big rigs being governed, at full weight sometimes the little hills that you don't notice in a car will slow a truck down considerably, and/or slow down the other truck the driver was trying to pass, too. It's annoying but they have the right to the road, and I've run into relatively few inconsiderate truck drivers vs. normal schmucks in cars. I stopped getting angry at them after driving a medium duty truck @ 40k, as I have a better understanding of the struggle now.

Morons who can't pull forward to the first open gas pump. I'll squeeze past them and park to block them in if I can. Bonus if someone is waiting behind them so they can't back out. If I'm really feeling like a prick I'll go inside and buy a Coke, leaving my car there of course. All they had to do was pull forward.

When it's nice all week and rains on the weekend when you're supposed to ride.
When you make a cup of tea and forget about it, so that when you happen upon it later it's bloody cold .

Yeah, the truck that I drive generally weights 105,000 pounds. It evidently has great eyesight, because it can see hills that I never would have noticed.

Meeting with 28 year old guys with a wife, kids, mortgage and car payments that don't think they need life insurance because they are too young. then bitch at you because the cost jump once they finally figure it out at 35.

Getting a phone call every time the DOW dips to see if their portfolio took a hit.

Getting bitched at by the old know it all that took a loss on stuff he made me do, and not calling me up and thanking me when the stuff I made the decision does well.

The douche bag ex athlete that wouldn't listen to you because he wanted to live his life style even though it wasn't sustainable and bitches at you because his money is running out.

The factory rider who has 600K in the bank because he doesn't trust guys in my business, smart move dummy, way to grow that net worth.

people that get on the freeway doing 55 and then b-line it into the fast lane.

Dude, if a truck catches up to you, let him go. He probably knows the road better than you and trucks handle like they're on rails in the snow.

I drive mostly twisty mountain 2lane highways and hate it when I catch someone and they won't let me pass. Keep doing what you were doing, I'll get around you and be on my way and we can both go on our merry ways. Some people would rather speed up just enough that it's now difficult to make a safe pass, but still slowing me down.

Did that this morning ... passed people in 6in fresh snow ... most fun I ever had was in between Ottawa and Montreal on the 417 a few years back. 10in new snow, no plows and the locals are doing 28 in the right lane... I pop over to the left lane and some person hops into my tracks. Holy shit it was freakin hilarious watching the equivalent of a slot car bouncing from side to side ... I was laughing so hard watching my mirrors!!! A half mile later he succumbed to the elements and pulled back in line.

It's the little things.... Laughing
