Here's the next one I'm doing, 61 F100 unibody. My F150 in the background is the only truck I've owned that I haven't bagged.

Nice looking chevy Kid, I would like it even more if it was a short bed. The unibody will look really cool once its bagged. I love the older trucks and I have my eye out for a 57 chevy. I really dig that style.

I've had a lowered '72 Mazda B1600, '81 Toyota SR5 and a '88 Dodge D50. None of which were lowered to the extremes they go now days. You couldn't drive anything that low in Indiana back those days. The pot holes would high center you.

The D50 was a neat little truck. Had the same motor as my '86 Dodge Conquest, but without the turbo.

I wish I had pictures of them to post, but I don't.

I've been temped to do my '04 Dakota, but have resisted. It has such a nice ride and I'm getting to old to stoop down to get into one.

Here's one of my builds a few years back. V6, 5speed F150. I loved that truck. Bought it brand new, got a 4/6" drop, twinkies, intake, exhaust, tv, custom system, trenz billet grill, roll pan, HIDs & emblems & trim removed. Nothing to crazy, just kept it simple & clean. I just picked the bike up that day I took the pics!

Love me some lowered trucks!

First my current ride, still big but technically lowered cause of the 2in drop shackles in the rear. Had to get the dmax to pull the toy hauler



This was my fun truck back in the day, i loved it! 4.8L V8 with a 5-speed manual trans, truck was by no means fast but i could make it dance. 4/7 static drop on 20's, had to watch out for speed bumps, wish i had a pic with my bike in the back





Then one morning i fell asleep on the way to work, i cried like a baby

I have my own opinion of lowered trucks, but he didn't ask what my opinion was. He asked for feedback from any on the forum whom have lowered their trucks. Sure, it should have been posted in 'non-moto', but that rule is rarely enforced.

since we're on the topic of trucks, I just got a new rig, a 4x2 hilux on dual fuel. LPG can in the tub. Has anyone got any idea if you could still butt the front wheel of a bike up against the cylinder or am I definitely relocating the cylinder under the tub?

Especially with a boat in tow.

It's not lowered but it cost me $600, it's rust free, and I grew up with my dad having Mazda B2200 for a riding truck when I was a kid. It's hard to beat a good mazdarotti

This is my toy, I drove it daily until recently. great fun.
Always get people saying how useless they are etc etc. Haven't been some where I cant get in.
I appreciate and love lifted stuff also, but i find this more practical than a lifted 4x4.

But each to there own.

I have a falcon ute with an LPG cylinder in the tray and the bike sits up against the tank just fine. I wish it wasn't there though so I could carry the bike with the tailgate up, the tank takes up a lot of room... So yes I would say it is just fine to butt the bike up against the tank but if you can relocate it I would recommend doing so.

Cheers bud! There is actually some drawers in the back which I've sold, getting picked up this sat, so after that will measure up and see what to do... Not sure if the bike will fit, even tailgate down with the cylinder in the back... Spoke to a gas guy yesterday, he wanted 500 bucks to relocate, bloody hell, didn't think it'd cost that much! Will shop around and see what I can do...

Gets great mileage on the LPG, 550 kays to one tank thus far, must be close, and it gets along great. Stoked! The cylinder I think is 55litres?

Hows your Falcon go on it? And is there any cage/bracing on the cylinder or just the floor mounts?
