Given the price of rooms going up exponentially because of the big fight the same weekend and the fact Dungey will have wrapped the title early I am calling it now.......lots of empty seats at Sam Boyd this year.

And this is your worst post in days. Smile

I'm not sure how you can post something in the future as fact now.

Haven't missed in 5yrs and I hate to say it but we are planning a riding trip instead. Almost 100 a ticket, no Stew, no RV, a seiously depleted field and a decided championship makes it tough to justify....I would like to see Webb vs Marvin though.

Pretty accurate post actually... cheapest room on the strip is 400 a night. A lot of people I know are skipping for the reason alone. I haven't missed it in 4 years and won't be going this year due to outrageous prices.

That's just Vegas. They have weekly rates and weekend rates, which go up by 200-400%. There is always an event going on in Vegas so they don't necessarily raise rates because it's NASCAR or a UFC weekend or a SX weekend. At the casino where the fight is held maybe, but not down the strip.

Alot of people travel from all the country to come to this race and have had hotel and tickets bought months ago, and there is always a big fight that weekend. Place will still be packed out.

Not the biggest money fight ever... $15,000 a seat ringside

but you are right if they paid for the hotel already, prices for supercross won't be raised any higher

maybe Marvin & Cooper will be there, Dungey will be there, as fast & wild as Tomac looks who knows

Try 87000 dollars for a ringside seat.

cheap rooms are over $400 now, and goldstar is already offering SX tickets (goldstar is a discount ticket site where events go to help sell out tickets, you buy the tickets and don't know where they are until you pick them up at the stadium).

I'm a boxing fan and I live in Vegas, I'm debating on discount supercross tickets or dropping $100 for the fight and having a big party.

the drive there and back sucks.if u want to watch all the practice and the race you are stuck out in the middle of no where for 14hrs.Not shit around there to do and going back to the city during the race doesn't make since.the track is normally kinda cool but overall it sucks!

I was lucky the one time we went out to Vegas was in 2009. The drama with Reed and Stewart probably will never be matched in this sport.

The fight sounds better then watching a 17 minute & 12 minute mains...

Attendance will be good at Vegas. And I predict Tyler Bowers will knock out Floyd Mayweather in the 3rd round of their exhibition boxing match during SX intermission.

daaaammmn! Say you bought that ticket and it's a first round KO...are you happy or pissed off? (actually, if you have $87K to drop on a ticket, you probably don't care, haha)

A post by someone who obviously has not checked rates this year.

You might have to wait a bit for him to make any sense.

MXculture until you take ownership for drunkenly sucker punching me in the back in the press room at A1 2013 please STFU.

I didn't see you at A1 but hoping our paths cross at Vegas or first two Nationals so I can personally share my displeasure with you. I wasn't happy to begin with after your cowardly act but for you to turn it around and say I have you confused with someone else is too much. You told me you were drunk a year later A1 2014 when I called you on it but after telling me to think how you could make amends suddenly changed your tune when I asked for help with therapy on my back where you hit me.

Stay classy Dave and have some more beer.

No, this is very unusual for Vegas as hotels off of the strip are extremely expensive that weekend. I have not missed this race since 1997 and I will NOT be attending this year. It could still sell out or close to it since it is a smaller stadium...I guess we'll see.

Vegas always sells out. Even though we have seen 1/2 empty stadiums for the first time in years. I'd bet Vegas will still sell out.
