Logic dictates that a major factor in Argentina was that he struggled with Bike Setup for changing conditions.

Poto and it was a fight all the time. Soooo i dont think its a stretch to say fitness is a big part. Hes fast in the qualifying and practice. Looks like he doesnt have the go juice for the whole

I still personaly believe the best series is in america. (personal opinion) people can argue back and forth how much they want everybody got their personal taste.
27 points is not much, but ofc the tracks that you been riding on before is a advantage for you why would it not be? But he is still close enough to make a charge.

His fast point and shoot american style has him pretty competitive with the best gp riders in the world, already winning an overall.
there are some points on the argentinian track though where you could see that the leaders were able to carry their momentum better and those spots were the deciding points.
he's very fast, he's very fit and he's not an easy out for anybody.
hats off to the gp riders though, they're showing the world why the argument has always raged about who was better. They're right on par with the best american rider. No excuses.
He will improve but so will the others. Heading into Europe now where the other top riders have experience with the tracks. Could get tough for RV but I hope he gets some better results to keep the Americans interested. I think he'll be top 5 (minimum) most weeks with some podiums and moto wins as well. I don't think he will win the title though. Maybe third/fourth behind Cairoli, Desalle/Nagl. It's great to have him in the series though, total respect.
Roczen wanted to go there, don't think it was all about the money. For Musquin and Tonus they didn't liked to move up to MXGP so they stayed on 250 bikes and went to the US.
Maybe my math is wrong but...
(60/4.7)/35.07 = 0.364
So he's about a third of a percent off the leader's pace in his third race in MX-GP, coming through traffic. I would say nothing is wrong with him, he's just racing with the *some of* best in the world in a new situation after a long time off. He will battle for wins the whole season, just as he has been doing.
Today was an awesome race--the top 4 riders finish within 5 seconds of each other after a long moto. I wish they had battled a bit, but that will happen.
Why do people care so much if an American wins? It's not like America gets a big check every time Villapoto wins...it doesn't have any impact on one person on this board. Just enjoy the racing.
I think most went to challenge themselves against the Americans, probably also the money.
