Maybe it reminds him of Erica a little too much... Who knows.

You guys.....don't be so hard on DV. I hope he changes his mind on the episodes and so forth.....but DV is a refreshing taste to this sport.

And DV.....buddy , I hope you change your mind on this. We all did and said stupid things in the past , it's what makes us who we are. That show doesn't change one bit of how I look up to you. God forbid if they filmed me in my younger years.....the police would have evidence and and I would never get out of jail.

So yeah , think on that.

I just watched all the episodes I could and they are absolutely great. Moto reality tv.
I can see why DV might not want it out there. His kids, ex wife, not a great year...

I think Lucky was a little overzealous for sure, I doubt I could work with him either!

I would absolutely love for DV to come clean and tell us what he thinks of the whole thing now.

People, yes I'm lame. I'm a douchebag. I'm arrogant. I stink. I've heard it all. I don't talk about it because I don't really want to, I don't feel it's necessary to talk about things that happened at the end of 05 and at the beginning of 06 and I'm being professional about the clauses of our termination agreement. That's all. People can think what they want about me but I'm a guy of his words and his beliefs either you like them of not. On a personal note I am proud to have gotten the honorary title of top privateer in the MX national in the summer of 06 on a Yamaha with the help of Keith McCarty, Paul Lindsey at Motoworld, Jeff Surwall at No Fear and top SX privateer in 07 with MDK Honda before becoming factory rider again at Suzuki (yes I know I sucked that year, you don't have to remind me). The Reality of Speed was a great pioneer concept in our industry and it would be awesome to have something like that again for us fans these days. Races on TV are great but the behind the scene a-la-Reality of Speed is the missing piece of the puzzle nowadays. On that note, be well, be kind and enjoy your time on this earth. Life is way more than just MX. Respect the fact I turned the pages of my racing career and I'd rather talk about the present. I love watching SX & MX and debate/talk/analyze it. Whatever happened in the past isn't important and can't be changed. What can be changed is our future. I'm still one of the biggest fans of this sport even if I don't push my kids riding dirt bikes. It's why I'm so passionate in what I write in my columns. Have a good weekend

You have some different beliefs than I do outside of moto but I respect what you have to say regardless. Sometimes arrogance and confidence can get tangled together. Good for you for commenting on here and voicing what you have to say.

By the way, the way you break down rider technique and crunch numbers in spreadsheets on pulp mx is awesome.

DV,

Thanks for your input, I understand about turning the pages in life, I've turned a few as well. I certainly don't wish to think of those either.

Thank you for your columns and your appearances on Pulp show, I know that myself and others enjoy your input and hearing the stories from your racing career.

Please keep it going, I'm a fan of yours

Peace man

Haaaaa... DV12 "listening" to Lucky Nichols' crappy advice... The guy was totally clueless and David looked like the show actually was "I'm a celebrity... Get me out of here!". LMFAO... Great memories.

Different pilots, different mechanics and above all, different team manager, I guess.

Whatever DV! You are still popular amongst the masses.
I wanted to watch the series but life goes on without the old reruns.

Been a few years. Still numb down the left side of his body. His body does what he wants, like push a brake pedal, but he does not feel it. Meaning he can't tell if he pushed the brake half way to the floor or all the way to the floor.

Watching the race yesterday and lots of concrete still out there in about the same area Jerry hit drivers door. Not the same track but most of the 1.5 to 2 mile track are about the same.

Jerry did the formula ford or 3000 thing in Europe i think, before coming to NASCAR,really like the guy, shame.

He did great in Formula Opal in Europe. Missed like the first three or four races of the series, jumped in a car, won some races, and finished higher than any American ever in the series.

Also raced carts on the ice in Russia.

He loved to race any car anytime. Natural talent. Had a hard time with that ending.

I'm sorry DV, but asking to remove those episodes, plus your post here is incredibly lame.

You make it sound like we shouldn't look at the past, just because YOU feel embarrassed or uncomfortable or whatever. Your stint at Bookoo Honda happened, whether you like that or not. I'm sure you'd rather talk about your factory days but at least man up and say something productive about the whole Bookoo deal instead of sliding it under the rug and telling us to "talk about the present".

Two things:

1. DV is and always has been a great part of the sport. Mucho respect, friend and thanks for the jersey from 2004.

2. Mr. Holigan is a forward thinker and good at what he does. Much respect there, too.
