I've seen this purely as the FIM jacking with Stewart as an example right from the start. The FIM is butt hurt & tired of being thought of as powerless, so they're flexing their muscles and showing that they can damned well do anything they please no matter what. And, who else better to exhibit their strength on than an icon of the sport.

I promise you, if James was a lesser known rider he would be racing right now. As it is, they know he's got plenty of money to pump into this thing and it's turned into a "principle" thing.

When does the FIM contract end in SX?

The question comes up again...why do we need the FIM in American SX stay on your own side of the pond.

Someone needs to write a book or make a nice documentary with pictures. I work in IT and we don't use this many acronyms. USADA, WADA, CAS, FIM, AMA, AMA Pro, etc.

To me it's pretty simple. The SX and MX folks brought in drug testing so our little ol sport can be cool and big and mainstream. Then the "top star" got popped and everyone threw a hissy fit. It is what it is. Welcome to the "big time".

I 100% believe that the FIM purposely is fucking #7 over so people pay more attention to the gps. No doubt.

Stop thinking Guiseppe Luongo when you think of the FIM. Luongo runs Youthstream.

His appeal will be heard March 31st

While I get your point, I don't think that's the case. As far as I can tell, the FIM neutered themselves by handing all the power...

I don't think people understand the difference between those two things.

And you should stop thinking that Luongo isn't involved.

Wrong. WADA granted him a TUE. That whole process is 100% separate from the issue of sanctions/pentalties. The TUE does not "clear him to race" despite what James claimed in his interview. It means that WHEN he races, he can use his prescribed meds as they have been judged medically NECESSARY. The issue of penalties is 100% separate.

SX went with FIM to give the series some international and exclusitivity status. The ban on JS7 is all BS just like the CR222 black flag thing.

JS7 is welcome to race the MX championship series in Australia if he is available. It starts in 2 weeks and the good thing is all races will be streamed live FREE just the way all MX SX should be. Also Chad should get a replacement for the rest of the SX races and come and do the series on oz as well to get dialed in early for the AMA MX when it starts.

No

Supercross went with the FIM in a pissing contest between AMA/Jam Sports and Feld , Had nothing to do with adding credibility to anything.

None of them have any credibility, fuck them all.

JS7 COME AND RACE IN AUSTRALIA!!!!!

YOU ARE WELCOME!

Reading threads on this topic, I don't think people understand a lot of things.

Probably right that a lot of folks don't understand but what almost everyone DOES understand is that the penalty does not fit the crime. No way around that. Punishment was warrantied but it wasn't what is should be.

If Stewart needs some help coming up with some scratch for an attorney, I may be in the market for a nice 69 Camaro.

Ignorance, blame the people who inforce the rules not the person who violated them??????? If you cant do the time dont do the crime. Even Stewart is not above the rules.

You guys are too cynical.

I think some of you want to believe they influenced the decision, simply to justify the length of the ban. Even though the punishment is comparable to other cases, in different forms of motorcycle racing. I just don't see how it would be at all beneficial to take Stewart out of competition unless there was very good reason for doing so - ie a lenient penalty extended on appeal.

You've got a feeling though right?

Regardless, Srb is no longer in power at the FIM MX commission (although he was all over the map and photos in Qatar, for whatever reason)...

From a skeptical point of view: FIM already has their claws in American SX. Get one of the biggest draws from America to race in Europe. Suspend one of Americas biggest names in SX. Strengthen one series, cripple another & increase their grip for global sanctioning.

I actually believe this is what might be going on. And no, I don't believe in UFO's or ghost's.

Okay Kids....

Even if you don't agree with them.... "Don't break the rules". And if you don't understand the rules, have someone with comprehension skills (someone not stupid) read them for you.

If you don't get this simple concept, look up "Lance Armstrong", or, "Pete Rose", as learning tools.

Don't blame the cops, for arresting the shop lifter.
