KTM's are like a women changing clothes. They go from one extreme to the other. IF next yrs KTM 450 is good, It'll be a first for KTM.
There's a lot to be said in developing and refining an already proven platform IMO.
The Yamaha makes around 58hp and most feel it's too much.
KTM makes an excellent motorcycle and had won several shootouts over the last few years. I believe the 2016 will set the bar and Japan better take notice. They are pricey but I would consider one if I was in the market.

and thanks for signing up today, i love you too!
Not sure how you get I am an old man when I can happily kick start a bike rather than use a button :-)
The lithium battery is a dumb idea IMO, they are more of a hassle than they are worth. It's an easy (albeit pricey) way to shed a few pounds, but the charging procedures and temperamental nature are not worth the 3lb savings. I had one in my stand up jet ski for a while and ended up warrantying it, followed instantly by putting it on eBay.
Pit Row
For MX, I don't see many guys stalling and most bikes start with a kick or two from what I've observed, so I suppose view the "button" as more of a hassle than a value in the rhelm of the MX world at least. What a do know is that I never met a KTM rider that hasn't bragged about their button....As I see them push starting their bikes.
I wouldn't pay extra for it if it were an option. In fact I'd probably pass on it if it were a free upgrade.
Some guys love them, I'd rather keep it simple and light.
And @Juss how many times on live TV have we watched a guy crash, get up and then try to kick his bike over for the next few laps unsuccessfully? All the guys saying E-start is unreliable and too complicated are the guys who don't have it.

Again, I've seen more problems with KTM estart/battery issues than not. I don't have to worry about a "cold" battery or having to recharge on my Japanese bike. I'm not against e-start at all, but the current generation of non-KTM bikes have always been reliable in the starting department so I just don't see the need.
