Judge it after it gets dolled up for race day.
That's my thought. I see potential.

In the good ole days manmade whoops, jumps and berms were created for supercross tracks. Motocross tracks followed the natural terrain with little or even no manipulation. Motocross barely even exists today, just outdoor supercross.

Looks to be super soft sand. Guess who that helps?
Wide, sweeping sand ,rutted and nasty. Yep, who does that favor? At least Captain America has one victory in the bag and a GP trophy for the mantel and memories. Gonna be some of the Big Boys feeling at home there.

I can't believe It, I happen to agree with you for once. It's going to get very nasty, that is a given.

It's called the evolution of the sport. If you want natural terrain, race GNCC or enduro

finally a natural terrain track!
When one can not locate 1 water truck road, one should not get excited.

That was my thought. How are they going to get any water down? Hopefully they have a pump from the lake and some underground piping.

And what about parking for spectators? Not a lot of room from the aerial view. There does seem to be a pit area at least.

Why does Youtstream like having GP's at venues that appear to have never held a single race?

Glen Helen is a dump.

Powder Mountain Utah, Mammoth, or here.

I love Mammoth....but why would you call Glen Helen "A dump?" IMO, Glen Helen is bitchin....at least it isn't a "parking lot" track like the first 2 GP rounds!

Agreed. Potential for sure. Some nice wide sweepers on that track.

Seriously? The track itself is good. Even awesome. But Glen Helen is a hot dry windy high desert dump.
Half the time the wind right there on the 15 is blowing over semi trucks.
There is no scenery except 909 and 951 low rent bro hoes, and for someone outside the sport, if they saw pictures, they wouldnt say "lets go there!"

Watch a video of MC or Ping at Powder Mountain, or a myriad of other places that could host a GP and be alot more enjoyable experience.

all awesome tracks, but if you held and National or MXGP in Mammoth how many spectators would you get? Not enough infrastructure and too far away from population.

Of course RV is one of the Big Boys and he'll feel right at home, that's what I said " the Big Boys will feel right at home" You seem to have doubts and some underlying bitterness. I'm sure the best man will be on the top step, that's racing

Thats because they are trying to sell the race.

It seems all our tracks for Nats are in the boonies except So Cal.... So unless they start doing more SLC Toole type races, they need to sell it as a vacation.

Glen Helen is a day in hell.

Powder Mtn was bitchin to ride, but I can't imagine getting rigs and spectators up that road. I hate driving it in a pickup.. I'm with you though, mammoth would be Rad

It's true Glen Helen is a shithole area but to everyone on TV it looks like a classic So Cal hillside and that's what matters. You don't have to know about the prison next door just the same as you don't need to know that beautiful Dutch forest is in a town called Lierop Cool
You mean Benelux? Tongue

Patagonia that's what I'm talking about. Beauty right there. I understand Dubai is the desert and that's that, but how you can go to a country like Thailand (that has some of the most beautiful landscape in the world) and not get within view of any of it is mind boggling to me. MXGP's could be the perfect sport to show off each country's unique and incredible landscapes. When they get it right like in Talavera, Arco Di Trento, Glen Helen, Lierop etc everyones happy again!

I've had the unique privilege of riding a dual sport KTM in Patagonia and over the Andes into Argentina. Absolutely stunning views, trails, roads, people ..........

Favoring the GP riders adding another sand track, must of decided they want AC to win this one

RV thinks the traffic in Thailand was crazy, wait till he gets to Buenos Aires... Driving in the US will never be the same Grinning

Looks like a finely manicured backyard practice track in the north woods of WI.

Good observation. A new track surface that looks soft, but could turn into red jungle concrete with watering, we are not there so it's all speculation.

That Patagonia picture looks just like a milliion places in America.

Problem is this country is so Anti Motorsports Im surprised they even allow cars anymore, let alone motocross.
