Look if Ryan loses to Tony...well, Tony is one of the BEST riders the GP's have ever produced, and one of the fastest motocross riders in history, racing in a series he's dominated for years...there is absolutely ZERO shame in losing to him.

And if Tony loses to Ryan...well, Ryan is one of the BEST riders the AMA has ever produced, and one of the fastest motocross riders in history...there is absolutely ZERO shame in losing to him.

These are two of the greatest motocross riders in history....there can only be one winner, so that means the other is going to lose, and when you get beat by Antonio Cairoli OR Ryan Villopoto you can be proud to have been beat by one of the best in history.

Its we vitards that have the most to lose in this championship...with regards to bragging rights.

Exactly, neither will lose their legacy both will, always be two of the greatest ever.

AC is not going to be RV's only competition this year I don't think. The MX1 is the best lineup it's been for years. Bring on 28th

That's definately not a GP track,it's a Loungo makeshift POS structure to get a race started and finished in the interests of some extremely rich people to carry out an exercise and move on

These are the real GP tracks I'm really looking forward to seeing them do battle Cool

Also......since the Euros think AC has better stats......will they mean anything if RV wins the title? I can tell ya...if RV goes over to a foreign series and mops up.......the Euro's will be in for some message board verbal pain for many years to come. Haha.
since the Euros think AC has better stats
Can you PLEASE stop generalising?!

We are in for some verbal pain? Yeah i wouldn't be suprised by someone like you. And if things are the other way you'll be the first one to cry about it. What are you? 12?

Since the 'Euros' think AC has better stats or the 'Euro'?

Don't mean to be a prick Jeffro but it kinda bugs me that everyone on Vital seems to assume that all Europeans share the same opinions on eveything.

I don't think pmcc was trying to prove anything, he's just compiled those stats for the sake of benchracing. Maybe not such a good idea to post them on here though.
Brother Jamma.....you don't sound like a prick at all....if anything , my post did. It's just the same old shit tossing thread from both sides and I put in my $.02....that's all. I dig you and your views....always have , you know that.

That kind of bullshit isn't aimed towards you....it's aimed at the shit talkers on the other side of the pond who have been slinging it this way. When I say something stupid....that is usually who it's aimed at.

I don't normally jump in on the shit tossing threads , as they never lead any where. But I also see it as some good ol' fashion mud slinging that both sides can smile at and have a good time. Some dudes take this shit to personally. I leave my feeling on the dorr step in threads like this.

PressPass I have to agree that those are some beautiful tracks. Our sport is just so cool. Do you know if the Maggiora track is the same basic layout as the '86 MXdN track?

I don't know where the "GP has way gnarlier tracks" argument came from. All those picture look pretty comparable to most of the US national tracks, other then the scenery around the tracks. Definitely can't wait until Qatar, well actually round two, Qatar looks like Milestone.

I'm not gonna sit here and let words be thrown into my mounth. I'm a euro and have shit to do with what the OP posted. Just like allof of other Euro's on this board. Try to stop looking at their location if someone posts something. Wink

Oh you don't get riled up? Remember 'mister pissypants?' Laughing

This shitty debate seems to never end, that's what im riled up about. If RV swipes the title or not, either way there will be shit thrown around all the time. I fucking love the sport, but i deeply hate that 'us vs them' mentality.

That's one of the reasons why I prefer AMA racing.

Some tracks are just rubbish (Qatar)
Other tracks are actually nice but prepped really terrible (making it a dried out mud fest when the racing starts) and therefore completely ruins the track

LOL, I remember being told by heaps of vitards that I was wrong when I said GB and Australia are not part of Europe.....so funny that people who actually don't know something will bang on about it like they do...

I am a huge RV fan and I reckon he will be strong, but so will Carolli, and a bit of Hearlings too, should be a great season

All boils down to one thing..

Great racing!!
Be good to see someone on ac's level,i stopped watching gp's as it was always a one man show. Rv or cairoli winning makes no difference to me as neither of them are english.

Looks like Utah National by night to me, so yes, garbage. Hate those tracks, Pala, Utah. Only supercross with more space between obstacles not motocross. When I miss those races, I only watch recaps. I wouldn't do that with Red Bud or Unadilla
. Qatar is just the same crappy track...

450 podiums: AC: 80% RV: 92.3%

Whenever RV has been healthy, he's been unbeatable. Got it!

I can't wait to see them race, RV needs some worthy competition
Tougher competition?
Cairoli has beaten guys like Desalle year in year out, who came over to the US do a national last year and raced upfront just like that. Don't act like guys like Desalle, Paulin and Nagl are no competition.

I said it before, RV has a good chance of winning, ofcourse, but it is not going to be a walk in the park.

Cairoli as well as Villopoto have stated they won't do any interviews anymore before Qatar so they can totally focus themselves on the start of the c'ship. Paulin mentioned he won't read anything anymore about the start of the season.

Man, it's about to get on!

Asterisk titles are invented by effing keyboard warriors to make themselves feel better.

You enter, you race, you win or lose, you do or don't get a title, it ends there.

There are no IF's allowed.

Aside from the Lierop and Lommel sand tracks I'd say the tracks on both sides are comparable too, they both get rough, although maybe a different type of rough with the AMA tracks often seeming faster and GP's maybe more technical as many seem to think
