After Villopoto 'retired' Kawasaki got Millsaps but he isn't doing well so who's next for 2016?!

Canard?
Dungey?
J. Stewart?
Peick?
Webb?

I've said several times that Reed has put together a HUGE inventory of assets and personnel. I can't think he's doing that with a short term strategy involved. I think he wants to be able to approach one of the fast 3 or 4 and be appealing. He's also mentioned several times that he wants an actual championship contender and I suspect that is so he can comfortably step away without losing a pivotal sponsor.

Dungey is the only rider with a contract up this season I believe. Someone will need to confirm this.

The #who's next bugs the shit out of me. . . Maybe it's just my disdain for the twatter shit during the broadcast.

I'd bet there's no way Dungey leaves KTM. Especially now that the new bike is working so well. Plus, the personnel they have on staff is top notch. Also, I think it'd be a cold day in hell that Two Two would go after Tomac given the last couple weeks worth of run in's. However, all personal feelings aside, Tomac would be a good land. If he get's his consistency down, he'll be tough to beat. Kawi may have to stick it out with Davi for another year and see what's available for 2017. Not sure who might be ready. Perhaps we need a list of potential up and comers.

Webb
MM25 (although I bet he stays with KTM)
AC (Kawi is probably waiting for him to move up)

Who else will be available in the next year or two......add to the list.

Kawasaki doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell until AC moves up. And that's if he doesn't destroy himself before he gets there (I hope he doesn't).

Kawasaki will just keep with millsapps whether he does anything or not.

Millsaps is on a two year contract so its not like he's going anywhere.

Kawasaki os just getting a glimpse of what the other teams had to deal with for years until their 250 teams started to develop amatuer riders the way Team Green has done.

Oops. I didn't complete the thought on that one. As long as Decoster is at KTM, I don't see Dungey leaving.

Kawasaki had a plan and Rv not racing this season wasnt it.
AC getting hurt wasnt either. Picking Milsaps was a fill in till they got the next guy.
They will get thier guy and will be in the mix again.

Milsaps and Hahn are good guys but did anyone think they were going to be red plate first rate or hopefully top ten men?

Millsapps had an awesome run the beginning of last year. Dudes got potential for a title.

Possibly, but not in my mind. He is among the best, but as long as Dungey, Roczen, Canard and Tomac are healthy, I don't see Milsaps winning a title. Just my opinion though.

I agree with the sentiment that Dungey will remain at KTM, especially if Decoster remains and I also feel that Canard stays with Honda. They have been very loyal to him and Canard appears to be very loyal as well. Tomac may possibly consider it. Just like with Roczen leaving KTM, Tomac would be the undisputed team leader, at least until AC is able to move up.

Does anyone else see the possibility of Herlings ending up in the US? He has expressed this desire before, but he is also the future big boy champion in Europe.

After Cooper Webb's contract at Star is up and he's ready to move up to the 450 class he's going to wake up one morning open his front door and there will be drump trucks full of cash from all the OEM's waiting.

I understand it, but it's gonna be a bit of a bummer as a wil Hahn fan to see him get the Kawi ride and maybe not get to watch him get some real race time on it

DM always does better in the second year of his contracts.... I still don't see him winning a title. AC is Kawi's big chance. They better hang onto him even if he's hurt. If I were DeCoster, he would be one that I'd make a big push for. If Gibbs ever wants to win a title he better lock Webb down to a five year high dollar deal as in, right now. I can imagine KR on Kawasakis in the future.

We haven't seen the best of Davi by any stretch of the imagination.

As for much of the rest of this thread...

I believe Dungey has signed an extension. I don't remember where I heard that, maybe it was the pulp show.

Any team with factory equipment and deep pockets is going to throw a lot of money at tomac, including his current team. There aren't any other elite free agents to my knowledge. It's going to be Tomac and whoever is moving up from 250s. Obviously Tomac will be the big prize there. He could very well end up at Kawi, but he could end up staying or going somewhere else.

This /\. Seen it a few times. Everyone seems pretty happy where they're at IMO. Maybe Musquin, don't know if his contract is up? I imagine with 2 years of injuries, KTM has him pretty cheap right now. If he wins the title, his stock will go up but still kept a little low due to his injury record. He would be a great 2nd rider, getting a little older, will probably grab at a chance to ride a factory 450.

Did someone say, "Peick"?

And, I think we'll see more out of Davi. He's got moments of brilliance and I'm thinking there really is some health issue in the background that needs to be squashed.

He was an Assassin in the Dallas Whoops.

Kawasaki is smarter than that.

Trey is loyal Honda.
Dungey & Moose bleed orange.
I'm thinking Webb or....Wilson?

Did you miss his pass on Reed? Trey is a Honda guy and most likely retire a Honda guy. Go Trey.

That's how I see it, too.
