AMA Official Kevin Crowther: I think this incident, seeing it live, seeing it replayed quickly, we all saw it, the obvious decision for John was disqualification. So at that point a disqualification is going to be a disqualification. So with the concern that there could be more retribution around the race track, ala Jason Lawrence and Ryan Dungey in qualifying a couple of years ago, that’s when he decided to take out the black flag, which we support.
AMA Official Kevin Crowther: It’s the last thing you want to do, but sometimes it’s warranted.
it was NOT A GOING FOR POSITION MOVE WHAT REED DID

But as a Reed fan, I thought it was a lame move by Chad. He could have just blown by Trey while he was rolling around fixing things. Race, deal with it after.
If they would both got going and reed tried putting him down with both dicing it would be different I believe.
If they let it go then you may get a pissed rider ghosting his bike into someone.
I say that stopped future incidents.
Bet reeds sponsors didn't like the move either.
Both I say.
Think before you speak
Whats next, Josh Hansen leads the before race prayer?
Promote it, then black flag it. REALLY! But Hansen's takeout at a higher speed is OK? Just Fing weird. It's turning into a damn joke.
Pit Row
Reed went out his way to crash into Canard while he could easily pass him on the inside and continue his race. People can't see the difference because almost everybody is biased and therefore all this discussion is absolutely pointless. I do not agree entirely with the black flag DURING the race but he would get a suspension / scrapped from the results afterwards if I took the decision.

If this is the way it works, I think there's 4-5 guys who maybe should not even be allowed to start? Can you really pre-punish anyone for what they might do?
Dude has been on the AMA circuit since 02... Hasn't exactly had a reputation of hunting guys, nor was it anything like the situation Dungey and Lawrence were in.
Trey should have waited to try and pass him but his mistake was a racing incident and it happens. I understand Reed being aggravated but that is no excuse.
