Mine was a cheap Capt America helmet that the sides didn't even touch the sides of my face due to it being flared. WTH?

My bike was a Rupp Mini Bike.....think it was a Enduro model or Roadster.....too long ago to be sure.

Buco open-faced.
Hell, it was 1966.

Our little mini bike club had a helmet rule. We are still friends.

White open face from K Mart, they had the Red/White/Blue one but my dad wouldn't let me have it. Moved up to a silver Bell not too long after that, got a duckbill visor with that one.

Stars and stripes for me. It was too big and had to wear a toboggan under it.

i really have no idea what brand it was. It was red, ugly, and had black wire mesh on the mouthpiece. I do remember gettingy second helmet though: bell showtime replica. Man that thing was sweet. I still have it out in my shop.

In BMX I had one of these bad boys (with the JOFA):

When I got into MX, I started with one of these puppies.. I had a Moto 3 near the end of my BMX days, apparently I thought these were cooler:

Hand-me-down Bell moto 3. All white, no visor. I wore that same helmet from the time I was 3.5 until I was 8... Not sure what my parents were thinking!

No idea. I'm not even sure where it came from. That was 40 years ago!

Yeah, I'm sure the one I had is in a land fill decomposing by now. Luckily I made it unscathed while wearing it lugging around my '86 CR80.

I really wish a similar helmet was made currently for trials riding.

First helmet was a black Lazer, with quick release rather than D rings. First good helmet was the moto-4 I saved up for to replace it.

My first real moto helmet was an HJC, rather plain in color and design. Guy Cooper signed it in 1996 at the Tony D. motocross school at Aztlan (WI) in 1996. Years later when my folks were moving to Minnesota, my old man burned shit for days. One day, I see that helmet shell sitting on top of the ashes, completely burned and holding it's shape even though it was completely ashen.
