That exhaust note is almost as cool as it gets.
I agree. Nothing like it.

I have to say, I think if 4strokes never came around in supercross, James would have more championships. IMO

Absolutely love the relationship he has w/ his pop.

You know what really strikes a cord with me about this photo?

The fact his dad is wearing a team Suzuki shirt to support James, and TLD hat to support Malcom. He couldn't care less about conflicting sponsors because what matters to him are his boys. Even back in the day when James was racing SX, Malcom was racing Lake Whitney amateur national and big James was there, far away from the limelight, supporting Malcom.

As a person who grew up with an older brother who was faster, therefore the priority, I sometimes got the shaft when it came to attention on race day.

Big James has no favorites, and his attire on race day is proof.

Makes me sad he won't be out there.

BTW- is Daytona a FIM event? I know its a little different than the other rounds but I'm not sure in what regard.

Great point.

I remember Mookie talking about his mom and dad splitting races they attended to support both of the boys.

No matter how you slice it, they are about their family through and through. Loyalty runs deep with those guys.

I know the Straight Rhythm was just a one off deal but I am sure mom and pops had to be proud.

I agree he is always a contender and never afraid to go big, very entertaining watching him go for it. Fingers crossed the appeal is successful. Unsure

That was great, I love how he rode a 125
I was there that day, it was a pretty amazing thing to see to say the least. Seeing him come around the first corner dead last and just rocket past people like they were standing still. I remember him passing Langston I believe on the downhill after the (at the time) finish line, just held on the throttle down the whole freekin hill. Pretty epic day for motocross, glad I got to see it in person.

Amazing thread, thanks for sharing everybody. I wish I could find the video of him riding at one of his local tracks, doing manuals through rhythm sections and just blasting corners like it was nobody's business.

Hey I took that photo! Kind of washed out but that's cool that you grabbed it and thought it was worthy of reposting. That was the 06 Glen Helen National getting ready to come down the Mt Whitney hill on the REM part of the track.

Bubba practicing at the Monster after the National got flooded out. Ragged out 125 practice bike, Carb fell out of the boot, we had to help him put it back in.

That's all i have Sad We were sitting there and look up and see a black Humvee, he got out with a fine Blond who also rode (i was faster though haha) I said that's Bubba right there, my buddy Lenny goes no way he's racing this weekend. Turns out it was that national that got flooded out 2002? 2001? The highlight was when I timed it so he passed me in he turn befor the uphill tripple so i was behind him in the air. I know that's lame but it's a moment I won't forget, dude was unreal on that track. I blinked and he was gone! He would land on the downslope of the big table on his front wheel then coast to the bottom. He stayed at the crappy Holiday Inn off I85, here's the sucky part, when he came back the next day he said someone stole his wallet Saturday what a POS! I felt so bad for him man because the dude was super kind and nice as hell to everyone. I asked for a pair of googles and he said bring them back tomorrow with a a pen and I'll sign them. In the last picture where his carb fell out he as jumping the second jump from Coles corner and landing on the ingle hump before the next turn, unreal dude. He came up short and didn't come ou from behin the big table. I ran down there and said you okay? He was like "I didn't crash my carb fell out, then he kind of rolled his eyes like you dumbass. haha Oh well. So here they are, my signed 259 googles, he said he raced a Nat in them but he wasn't sure which one. Been a huge fan ever since, I'll take these google to my grave. Sorry I don't have more pics. I posted google pic on next page.

He signed my new Acerbis Jersey also, did I spell that right? I put it up and never wore it or used the googles of course. Look at this thread, damn shame 4 strokes messed him over. I seriously believe if the cc rule was equal he would have sayed on a 2 stroke and owned the world. Free Bubba!
