I agree. First and foremost is the appeal, but if that doesn't work, I would think he would want to get in as many gate drops as possible. That's a lot of time off if things aren't overturned.

I agree. First and foremost is the appeal, but if that doesn't work, I would think he would want to get in as many gate drops as possible. That's a lot of time off if things aren't overturned.
Then a lot more variables come into play. Would Yoshimura Suzuki support this and take care of him for those rounds. If not, I can't see doing it on his dime for fun. He has set out during outdoor seasons for SX only contracts, so I don't think he's worried about a few extra gate drops.

based on your posts in this thread, you must know james personally? since you know what hes focused on and willing to spend is own dime on...

the appeal will be either finished, or out of his hands at that point, and its not like it would take much preparation for him to go race Canada. and for him not being willing to spend his own money, and that he sat out MX... well he also raced outdoors for free his first year on the Suzuki. so i cant imagine money would stop him from doing the series, if he really wanted to.

You'd have to be on some serious drugs to think someone such as Stewart would spend hundreds of thousands of his money to go race the Canadian nationals.

Pretty sure the ban covers all competition. Whether under the FIM or not.

CMRC has already publicly invited him to come race.

I know it'd never happen because $$$, but it'd definitely be cool see James race a two stroke for fun not caring about how he finishes, just casually racing and having fun on the CMRC circuit. James said he was surprised at how much love Toronto was giving him last year, I bet he'd draw a huge crowd showing up in a box van.

Based on what I just read on Racer X (the FAQ article), I don't think he could even if he wanted:

"...ineligibility impacts everything—Signatory events, Non-Signatory events. Here’s the wording from the WADA code:

Further, an ineligible Athlete may not compete in a non-Signatory professional league (e.g., the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association, etc.), Events organized by a non-Signatory International Event organization or a non-Signatory national-level event organization without triggering the consequences set forth in Article 10.10.2. Sanctions in one sport will also be recognized by other sports (see Article 15.4 Mutual Recognition)."

If the CMRC doesn't give a shit, who would stop him? WADA and the FIM mean nothing here. That said, it would never happen anyways.

I'm guessing that the Article 10.10.2. referenced means if he raced, he would get further penalties, which would keep him out of supercross/AMA nationals even longer.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure this is just wishful thinking all the way around.
