Impressed by the commitment required.

Super risky, especially to others on a public ride day. Adding in the fact that he couldn't even make the corner at the end of the straight, overall judgment = dumb.

I think it's awesome for sure, dude has huge balls!

But.... (sorry didn't read the whole thread) I think that's the Vet track? I see one angle shows no other riders around but the other he splits past two.. On a busier day I would put my boy (85) on that track to try be safe, I would shit my pants and loose it on this guy it he did that past my son!

BRO, clear it out for a min and have everyone cheer for your crazy ass!

200' is stretching it.. The fact that a football field is 300' makes the 200' unrealistic. I'm saying somewhere between 160'-190'. Non the less a huge leap and something I'm ten years removed from doing.

Not cool jumping it with slower riders on the track.

Still jumping big in my 40's but I always make sure it is either the fast class or a clear track. It is already a risk let alone other riders around you. Bikes are like fighter jets in the air. I never think about crashing while jumping just landing to hard. It's more the high speed high side I always think about in the rough stuff.

THis is truth.... Unfortunately this is learned too late for some people...

If I was the track owner that kid would have gotten a good old fashioned ass chewing for jumping that when others were rolling the section

After seeing that third angle from the takeoff, I think 200' is a very realistic number. If not more.

I know there are a few riders in the vicinity of him, but I'd be shocked if the kid just hucked it not knowing he had a clear line to do so. Did ANYONE at the track that day get pissed off or say anything about Rookie being ignorant towards other riders safety on this jump??

The gnarliness factor of this jump even out does this kid at Muddy Creek...

The lead in to it is a massive downhill that leads into the jump. Before rookie did this over the weekend my family had actually rented out the track for thanksgiving weekend.

All of us had to lock up the bike to not OJ that first double....that's how much speed you carry going down the damn thing.

Now not that any of us were actually ballsy enough to do it, we all knew it could be done because of how much speed you get coming off that hill.

This is not a vet track, its is actually just called "Track 2". By most any tracks standards a vet track consists of mostly turns, a few tables, and the occasional double. The track in the video is far tighter and more jumpy than the main track.

Understandably people call this the vet track because it is not the "main track" ( I call it the vet track all the time, the owners HATE when it call it that haha)

Based on video its really hard to say how "In danger" those other riders are. It looks like this kid is more than capable of hucking this thing, is very comfortable and is doing everything perfectly. I am sure a kid with that skill set wouldn't do something to outright put other riders in danger. Could he have found a better time to do it? Sure, probably but at the same time Im not going to judge or bash someone based off video that takes away the depth perception and doesn't really show the true distance between riders. That jump is hue though....I would never ever size that thing up thinking I could jump that let alone think of stringing it all together. Lol, kids good.

Letting all ages and abilities out on the track at the same time is typical of most socal tracks. I was on the track the same time as many fast pros the last few times I've been down there riding, just the way it is.

How the hell does he know that 5th gear pinned is going to send him perfectly to that landing and not into the face of the next jump? That is honestly the biggest jump combination I've ever seen on a track.

That's what I was thinking after seeing that most recent video. There's really no way to tell. He just grabs a handful and preloads into the face. To be completely honest, I think it was a combination of luck and balls. He's obviously a better rider than anyone on this board, but the reason this jump was successful was because he lucked out on his speed and it just so happened to be *perfect*.

I hate seeing guys do that. Its just a matter of time before he crashes BIG and dislocates/breaks/ruptures a lot of stuff in his body.

I find guys laying on the ground moaning/knocked out, less then entertaining.

I agree. Pros don't just hope they'll get lucky when they huck something massive. They have incredible timing and speed awareness. Why do you think kdub was able to nail his transfers(most of the time)? This kids no joke if you've seen him ride. He knows what he's doing.

Rolled it first lap, went for a 250' jump 2nd lap. He's asking to kill himself with that mentality. If I was his Dad I would have kicked his ass for jumping something that dangerous!
