I just read on vurbmoto that the Stewart decision may take so long that it would have him sitting out a few races because they haven't made up their minds yet. This is ridiculous, don't leave the guy in limbo. I want James to be on the line at A1 as I'm sure many other do to. Make a decision and lets get on with this. Wada joke! Let it Rain Yellow!

Yeah that's insane. Guy doesn't have a ton of years left anyway. Just make a decision and stick to it.

I'm curious as to why there is no rule present about maximum time that can be taken for a decision to be made. Not only is it James Stewarts career, but I'm sure his team is spending a lot of time and money preparing him for his potential season. Imagine if a few more riders tested positive for banned substances, it would take years to reach a decision!

I read that too and was also pretty disappointed.

The question has changed from will JS be on the line at A1, to will they even reach a formal DECISION by A1. Unreal.

No doubt the dumbphucks in charge should have been able to make a decision by now. Stewart obviously screwed the pooch in the beginning but them fucking him around is getting old quick. Costs an awful lot for someone of his caliber to train at that level to be prepared for the upcoming race season. He could have easily ventured off into other money making gigs had they told him he was out in a reasonable time frame. G'damn three ring circus I'm telling you.

Agreed, like him or hate him there is no reason a decision hasn't been made by now. Heck, NFL made how many decisions on Ray Rice in less time than this JS7 decision.

Wish it was that easy. Every time I look on the forum I am scanning for some update. Once all the evidence has been presented it cant be that hard to make a decision if they really are an outside, unbiased organization that was hired to do these types of things. I am a JS7 man but just get on with it and let the chips fall where they may.

all this is just making wada look like the joke that they are. to me if your going to test an athlete for doping the rules should already be written not made as they go. stew wasn't on steroids or out there doing a line a coke before the races. im sure that there are lawyers that aren't in a rush either, but to have this drawn out this long is complete bull. give him a fine and move on!

Because we're told nothing we don't actually know if JS is waiting for a penalty, waiting for an appeal to be heard, waiting on the FIM for a decision, or whether it's been escalated to WADA. That's the tough bit about leaving everyone in the dark. He was suspended on June 20th, so if he gets a 6 month ban he should be back from Jan 20th?

What about how it jacks with Stewart as a racer and as a person? Although I don't know any more...and possibly less than you guys, here's a guy who has been presumeably training and getting all set for the gate drop at A1, only to be told that it might take several more weeks to reach a decision, and that it could cost him not being on the line at the first two or three SX events! That pretty much takes any chance of the championship away from him, doesn't it? That allows his competitors to pack some points up on him that might be unsurmountable no matter how well he finishes at the rest of the events. Racing is a huge head game...and it might jack Stewies head up to where he'd get back into the win-or-DNF syndrome again.

Yeah, I'm a fan and I want to see him at A1 for my excitement and pleasure...but this sounds totally unfair to Stewart, personally.

In other sports they seem to make these decisions in a timely manner but also in most of those sports one team member might not keep them from a championship if they miss a game or two. However in MX/SX on missed event is catastrophic. Hell make them start backwards or with one boot off, kiss Miss SX on the cheek-put on helmet then start or something but let them race damnit!! Jeeeze!!

Say they are still dragging their feet and no ruling has been made before A1. Can he still line up and race, in hopes that his points won't be taken away at a later date? Or is he banned from competition?

Most these other sports y'all are mentioning have players associations and/or players unions with policies and punishments that are collectively bargained.
