RV is gone. Stew is old and inconsistent. Dungey is not dominant. Roczen may be fast but often has 2nd half slumps.

That leaves us a great chance of having a lot of different 450 race winners this upcoming season.

Guys i think can win:

1. Dungey (proven)
2. Roczen (proven)
3. Stewart (obviously proven)
4. Milsaps (proven)
5. Canard (proven)
6. Reed (PROVED WRONG)(and obviously proven)
7. Barcia (Young and hungry with winning speed)
8. Tomac (young and hungry and getting better entering 2nd year)
9. Seely (So smooth with speed to win, rides 450 fantastic)
10. Anderson (Baker)
11. Brayton (would have won last year if RV wasn't racing, so within this group hes proven IMO)
12. Wilson (Fast rookie with winning speed)
13. Short (won before and ages like a fine wine)
14. Grant (may have a new motivation and mental confidence with Reed in his ear, and has won before)

THATS 14 GUYS!!! WOW! If any of those names won i wouldnt be too suprised. Especially the first 9 on the list.

So how many winners will we see in 2015 SX with 17 rounds?? Over or under 6??

Very good thread Jim and some good points. All I know is , if everyone shows up healthy for A1 ( which not all of them make it to A1 healthy....or at all ).....we will see some great racing this next season.

I don't know how you could take the time to come up with that list and leave out Milsaps. Also, I'd say RV has a better chance of winning a supecross this year than Short does.

Depends on if JS7 rides or not, if he does I go for Under

If Not

Over is certainly possible and probable.

Jim, please add Davi Millsaps to your list. He's proven.

Millsaps, Canard, Tomac, Dungey, Roczen, Reed, Barcia and Stewart have won before and certainly capable of winning again. However on average 1 or 2 top guy will unfortunately injure themselves before they get the opportunity and one of them will on average have a season well below their expectations. So I would go for 6, chance wise closely follewed by 5

I like the over. Six definitely sounds appropriate.

Wow you think JS7 is going to win that many if he races? I hate to be a doubter but his consistency has just not been the the past few years. And it seems like he's only having more drama leading into this season. I'd like to see him do it but I wouldn't put any more money than I cared to throw away on it. He'll win a race or two though.

I think 6 is on the money. Roczen, Dungey, Milsaps, Canard, Stewart and Tomac are the guys I have winning a race.

Wilson, Brayton and Seeley will be lucky to land on the podium this season.

Is monster energy Kawasaki heading to the GP's with RV or what? Milsaps will win some Hahn can podium if everything goes right.

over, under? I think its exactly 6.

Canard Tomac Roczen Stewart Dungey Millsaps (wouldnt have had Millsaps on the list before MEC tbh)

maybe Barcia but after his MEC performance I'm not sure.
I'd like to see Seely Wilson or Reed win.. So we could as well have 10 winners (I'm too optimistic every year so I'd say 4-6 is realistic)

Oh, definitely over IMO. I would be shocked if either Dungey, Roczen, Stewart, Millsaps, Canard, Tomac, Reed or Barcia don't end up winning a main. All of those are potential title contenders, although obviously not all of them will be in it at the end.

You make a great point with Brayton, too. The 450F rookies could surprise, although none of them have shown me that they can win yet, although Seely could be the most likely.

14 guys can not win. You are fucking smashed mr lehey!

Atleast a couple of them will get hurt before a1. This happens every year.

Millsaps
Kenny
Js7 if he gets to race them all
Reed
Canard
Dungey
Tomac 4 daytona

I really feel if Jason Anderson puts in the work he will be a top rider this season...his agressiveness could be a hit or miss, but I love watching the guy ride nontheless

With the help of Aldon, he will be a force in the 450 class and I think he can show a wheel to all the top guys...

Do you guys really think reed has it in him still? Don't get me wrong I almost cried last year when he did but I just think this year he wont. I kind of want to say he wont so he will.

If he's healthy and in shape he will win races and be a title contender.

I say over, it's a real possibility that 8 guys have a shot at winning any given night. Unless Roczen makes things really boring.

Please no injuries!!!!

He won what, 5 or 6 last year? I think he's saying Stewart can win enough to make it hard for 5+ guys to win the remaining rounds, especially with Roczen and Tomac in the mix snagging a handful of wins.

I might catch some flack for this, but I'm just throwing it out there. I think race winners will be under 6, with Roczen, Tomac, and Stewart getting the majority of wins, and Barcia and Millsaps will snag 1 or 2 each. So I'm saying 5 race winners. Dungey will finish on the podium a lot, but won't get a win, and the title will be between Roczen and Tomac with Dungey in a "close enough but can't close the deal" 3rd position come season end. I'm probably way off base(I hope I am), but that's just my hunch.

Exactly. James won 5 last year. He was 2nd to RV twice. RV is out...do the math. That does not leave a lot of races for others to win.
