I've seen a bunch of guys rag on the UFO gear, but I think it looks pretty damn good. Am I the only one?

I like the gear, and the helmet is super light. But I like the look of the Rockstar Husqvarna better.

Here is why:

It's a factory team, which wants to sell the brand of Husqvarna..... So they're handcuffed to the stock-ish color scheme.

Not a fan of black plastic, but I have been waiting for blue seats to come back for 21 years now! It looks nice.

That bike looks like crap. Too much black.

The lack of black is why most of us like the look of the stock Husky.

And if any lurkers are contemplating signing up and becoming a Vitard...we've hit our limit of 2 Jeffros already.

Back to white plastic, keep the flourescent yellow accents and do the fork guards too. I'd like to see that.

So why did the KTM owner buy Husky again? These look like KTM/Husaberg to me.
Was there anything besides the name recognition that he got in the deal?

They snuffed out the competition, absorbed their name and existing dealer network, and put all of the Italian workers on unemployment. They're Husabergs being sold under the Husqvarna name and dealer network. Smart but controversial business move, I think a lot of loyal Husky guys have moved on from the brand. The new bikes look great but a lot of guys rode Husky's because they wanted something different from a KTM. Fortunately there are lots of other great choices coming from Europe for those who want to be different.

Not only did they get the name out of it, the company was also included. Who'd have thought.

All they seemed to really want was the name, pretty much everything that came with it got liquidated/shut down.

Nice bike!, copy cats tho, :D now for an actual husky not a rebadged ktm

my old 79 CR 390 back when I was doing vintage, just added the black guards and the modded RM side plates, loved that bike, cept for the spindly forks and rake, was as good as any and won my first pre 80 open class races on it.

oh and the ktms of the day were crap

why BTO, Motosport, Rocky Mountain, etc... dont't sell UFO?

I wanted to buy a UFO helmet and ended buying an AGV because I couldn't found it.

She's pretty, but this beauty gets my vote!

This looks way better than the UFO blacked out edition. I applaud them for trying, but with a white frame, it just doesn't look quite right.

Indeed, it does look great. Clean and simple with 2 colors.

Have to agree with the majority here. The UFO black bike looks like shit to me. The Pro Circuit and Rockstar Husky's look badass.

The UFO gear looks pretty damn good.

I'm excited to see how much different Husky bikes are in a few years, after the companies start their own separate designs (rather than just rebadged ktms).

What they looked like the last time they were here.

Photo taken in the pits at Southwick back in 2001 (if memory serves).

The rockstar and redbull bikes are way better looking imo. The bike shown in this thread looks horrible lol. Just my opinion. I think that theirs so many cool graphics u can do with these bikes, but putting black plastic isnt what i would do

I loved the early pre-release photos of the new Huskys.. the white frames, white plastic with bright blue seat and yellow accents. The only thing I didn't like about those early release photos is the black rims. I hate that nearly every bike has them now. I liked them as a rare off shoot kind of thing, but they make bikes look heavier to me.

This.. This is what Husqvarna's should look like. Sex on wheels.

I'm not even sure about the dealer network. Weren't they sold by BMW dealers?
