I can't promise anything, but I'll try my best. Can we at least watch the special features?

They get pretty ragged, that's for sure. But the riding makes up for most of it.

I was reading through this thread, thinking to myself what the hell is going on here?? Everyone is being so nice to each other and complimentary.

I was getting worried, fearing the magnetic poles had reversed, then BobPA posted that gem and pulled me outta my funk.

Good to hear you decided you liked it, last I thought I read.... You weren't really feeling the rm Smile

Wait till you take it on a sand track or nice loom, you'll be more into her....

It'll deffinately refine your skills/ add a little aggression in inside lines or looking for other smoother lines

I try to alternate between mine every other moto, but sometimes I just use my RMZ for site laps while the track is wet. Also as a plus it keeps the hrs down on the 4 stroke!!! Cool

- wish mine had the rc/ yellow wheels though

PS: wait to you get a revalve, proper springs if needed, and a ffw (it'll lessen the hit on hardpack and settle the rear suspension)
Brrrrrrraaap!

Those are a couple sweet looking machines right there man! Can you fill me in on what a "FFW " is. Not sure what that stands for. As far as this machine goes , the kid I bought it from rides nothing but 2 strokes....he just love them. This was his 2nd 06' RM 250 , and the only reason he sold it was because he picked up a 2013 YZ 250 and needed to pay that thing off. He said he actually sat on the RM for quite a while and was almost going to keep it as a 2nd bike....glad he didn't. One thing is , he has a FMF Gnarly pipe on this thing , and I'm pretty impressed with how well the bottom and mid-range work on this thing. When it gets colder out , I'll need to take the carb off as well to figure out what jetting he has in there , because I'm sure I may have to fatten that up a tad.

I would maybe call the Hillsboro Motosports and see what they can do. They get a TON of everything through that place and Scott ( the owner ) is one hell of a good dude , 100% full moto fan and runs an awesome race shop. They get a lot of race bikes and race bike replica's through there and I'm sure with you being a military member ( which BTW...Thank you so much! ).......that the guys at Hillsboro may be able to help you out. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call. Also....look up a guy on here called " Josh422 "......he's a really good dude as well , and he has the Hillsboro hookup for sure. Either him or Joel " MX216 ". ....both great dudes.

We have had an extremely dry summer......so yeah we have the hard pack thing going on. Which is sure to change though here real quick. I'l tell ya.....the fall riding in the NW is just awesome! Some of the most perfect loamy dirt you could ever ride on. The next 2 - 3 months should be epic!

I bet, the freakin summers out here are brutal, that's why I bought a boat and took up wake boarding and wake surfing in the summerGrinning , being from NORCAL, I still can't get used to the hot humid days, but spring and fall are like Cali out here.

Bvm........yeah , do that man! The Motosports guys are extremely good people. They will ship bikes and so forth as well. But if you want to pick it up , then go break her in some where.....just give me a holler before you come this way and we''l' find you a place to ride. In fact if I'm available the day you need / want to pick it up , I'll drive up there and meet you. Ot meet you some where else and help you get there. You just let me know brother!

Bents.......I hope to heck I won't have to sell it. I'll do everything I can to keep her. Money is a little tight right now , and that was basically the only reason I was even thinking about it before. That and my shop space is limited. She's a bute though....and they'll have to pry her from my dead , cold body before anyone takes her......I think.

Sharkey....... I'm really sorry to hear about your back man. I had no idea you had hurt it that bad. That injury would of put me off the bike for a long while as well. It gets a little scary when something like that happens. Way back in 1985 while I was racing a buddies CR 125 up at Woodland , I had a nasty over the bars wreck that hairlined fractured two vertebrae in my lower back and bulged two discs. That hurt like hell. At first we just thought I got beat up , but when me and my dad were heading home I told him my legs were falling asleep , like really bad. He took me to the hospital and come to find out the muscles were swelling up and pinching some nerves. I rang my bell really hard that day , to the point of I was getting sick and dizzy. I spent a couple days in the hospital after that. Then got to stay home from school for like 2 weeks with a big hip / waist cast to keep my back stable. Weird thing was.....I didn't really remember much of the first week......as the concussion had knocked the crap out of me so bad that it was pretty much all a blur. No other activities for something like 3 months. I never got any surgery or anything.....just lots of rest.

And I do plan on hitting most of the good woodland practice days. So if you guys are heading that way for one of those , please hi me up.

Damn it Jeffro every time you post pics of that thing I think about my 06 rc edition sitting in my garage half torn apart! This is the third time I have blown a head gasket and the third time I will have to send the cylinder off to get fixed and I just can't bring myself to spend the money again. I have also put a ton of hours on it and everything has just kind of "loosened up" over time. Seeing yours all pristine makes me realize how far mine has to go to get back to that state!Sad Laughing You suck!!! lol

I'm thinking I might just use it as a project bike and turn it into an offroader. I have done everything from moto to endurocross on that bike and it takes it all like a champ, so I figure making it into a solid single track bike shouldn't be too hard. It will have to happen slowly since I'm in college and can only work in the summer time, but I'm thinking of maybe sending the cylinder and head off to be made into a 300 this time. After that throw on a plastic skid plate (I bent the hell out of my metal one) and replace all the stuff that is worn out (long listShocked Laughing ) and I have myself a killer trail weapon. I can't wait till I get that thing going again, I love that thing! Enjoy the heck out of yours!
