I am trying to figure out what guys like rob kinsey and geoff mayer get out of coming on an American MX board and shitting on Americans every chance they get. is it attention seeking?

I am also trying to figure out why Americans bite on it almost every time. it's the same guys with the same shit.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger! I just read this article on his website and it was so contentious just thought I'd share with his many "fan's " on here.Wink
No way am I agreeing with his viewpoint by sharing it!........................................ but you went for his stinky bait hook line & sinker!
Your other comment is so weak, not even worthy of a response.

If you cared to check the other MXDN thread's I've commented on you will see I congratulated Team USA on their efforts, especially Eli Tomac's charge and Jeremy Martin's bravery to ride with his injury. Ryan Dungey was solid, just not on his A game.
As for all the comments in other thread's complaining about the 180 first corner & start in Kegum's, remember back to Budd's Creek MXDN in 2007? It was the same layout, perhaps even shorter to the first turn yet Team USA came out on top that weekend!Wink

I think he started writing his articles like that deliberatley, it's his way of playing the Americans at their own game. But he doesn't realise that he's actually annoying a lot of people while making himself and the GPs look ridiculous.

Compare Geoffs stuff to an even handed and respectful GP journalist like Adam Wheeler.
That article was terrible. The race was won by TEAM FRANCE and not "Europe" or "the gp riders". USA is just one country competing and they got 3rd. Team France deserved to win, they killed it.

He makes it sound like it is all the gp riders in Europe vs 3 US riders, that's horseshit!! If that's how he wants it, why don't they just make it 20 gp riders vs 20 US riders and alternate gp and US tracks every other year.

Budds Creek 180 is a left turn, not a right turn. They are not the same.

I'm not clicking on that fucking link because everything that guy writes is just shit stirring propaganda. The guy would sell out his own country if the price was right and switch teams in a heart beat.

Please don't ever let that fucker back on here.

Splitting hairs there! Apparently many of the "Euro's" had their bikes adapted for that Kegums track by swapping their rear brake lever to left and adding a right side gear change!Wink
Some teams even considered using old BSA scrambles bikes with their right side shifters, insider knowledge goes a long way!

Haha.....that guy wouldn't be capable of that. First of all......if my girlfriend was going to cheat on me , she would probably prefer that he actually had a set of balls.....so that leaves Geoff out of the equation.

2nd.....if you have to ask that question , you haven't been around long enough to actually have the privileged or reading his drivel. That guy does nothing but start shit.

Keeping him off this board is the best thing GuyB or anyone else could do. He's a shit starting asshole that loves to throw fuel on the fire and drive a huge wedge between the AMA and GP series and fans. He has said ON HERE.....that he doesn't like Yanks and doesn't want us to ever win again and enjoys seeing us lose.

There are ways to support your series and fellow country men in a classy and respectful way. Look at what Jamma10 posts.......the dude is awesome and a huge GP advocate........but he does it in a classy and respectful way. Geoff does everything the wrong way!

He's just a Dick!

It's amazing to me that the country that produced legends like Mad Max, vegemite, AC/DC and Steve Irwin also produced Geoff Mayer. that guy is the single biggest piece of shit being associated with the sport of motocross today.

I can respect Geoff's opinion and desire to truly see a changing of the guard. But if he thinks that the Euro's are truly getting faster than the Americans he also has to come up with an answer for Tomac's performance in moto 3 where Eli set a lap time that was 2.5 seconds than Paulin while coming through traffic. Eli's performance in moto three where all the 450 riders lined up against each other and on the roughest track conditions was nothing short of epic. Geoff, If the euro riders are soooo good how do you explain Eli passing 33 of them in moto 3? However we must give credit where credit id due. Congrats to the French team for getting it done on a rough track in awesome conditions.

Seriously. Fuck that guy. Gives Aussies a bad name.

Jamma I agree, he thinks he's doing it for whatever justified reasons... But I don't buy the American arrogance angle. I've seen more dickhead comments here from Euros the last few years as America has lost a few.

And if I'm a rider I'm still riding the AMA circuit if I've got a choice. I'd like to get paid! Doesn't mean the riders aren't as good, obviously not.

But the idea that these articles are some sort of retaliation for American fans ignorant comments gone by, well fuck that. He's meant to be media. Not an anti american propaganda-annoying-fuckwit.

Wheeler is excellent and is fair. Listening to his GP and MXdN pods with Matthes the last few years and reading his articles, it's clear to see he can see both sides of the coin like Steve, DC and Weege... and most other guys for that matter.

I can't find anything wrong with Geoffrey view or his article! Seems spot on, based on the results not emotion!
Yes... his article and views mirror what I saw. It should come as no surprise to any real fan who follows the sport that the talent in Europe is deep and strong. Maybe the starting gate for the GPs is low and they don't have 40 top riders all the time on the starting gate but the riders that are racing are amazing! Maybe Luongo is a dick and is cheating the riders out of money but if you want throw stones then the name Coombs should be included.

Will the tides turn back our way? Of course they will and USA will win more MXdN titles. The real issue here boys and girls is pulling a real world championship together! You can't be a REAL world champ if the USA isn't playing and it all comes down to Luongo and Coombs partnering up to make this happen. It won't happen because this would mean Luongo would have to give up races and Coombs would have to give up races $$$$.

And as I see it... the two fastest guys in the world are Cairoli and Herlings. The third fasted guy is Roczen. I hope RV can prove me wrong!!

Hard to argue with "changing of the guard" Our team has been beat last three years.

Lets speak with candor, MXDN now represent:

1. USA vs. World
2. US Nationals vs. MX GP
3. Nations vs. Nations.

I am betting we'll see the change of guard next year.

Post a reply to: Geoff's view of the weekend!
