It's hard to deny that the GP riders are flying out there. Impossible to compare the two series with only three top American riders out there on a foreign track in a foreign country which they do not do often. Hard to tell if that even makes a difference with Tomac's great ride, but Dungey finishes top 3 every moto in the US and has struggled at MXON so maybe it does affect some of them differently. Can't we call them equal and enjoy the racing. I'm pulling for the home team, but it was a good race either way. Luck wasn't on USA's side this year. Congrats to Team France.

I don't think anybody can deny the GP riders are fast. Anybody who watches any amount of racing can see they are fast.
I think what hes trying to basically say is the mxon is basically a gp where 3 us riders come. when you look at the results its basically all the gp riders are there (just like their series)unless there injured of course. all the other small countries are basically riding for the B main

I musta watched a different race because I swear I tbought Eli fell in the 1st turn and stalled it and still got 3rd turning laps 2 sec faster than 1st and 2nd.

Ryan had a good finish in his 1st moto, maybe cooked himself a bit.

Martin with a broke foot, lol, and passes a shitload.

Which fucking race did you watch?
Paulin and Van horebeek where cruising, thats why Eli was coming back from a little fall in the first corner... Btw, falling in first corner isn't that bad.... Martin a broken foot????? Two broken toes yes. I broke one toe and didn't feel the difference. A little bit off tape will do it :D conclusion: Yes, in europa they are faster !!!! I'm not talking about villopoto.

Welcome to Vital, how convenient that you sign up today, and that your first post is full of shit-talking.

You are going to have a great time here.

Awesome to see 4 winner in the last four years. I don't care what country you are from, that is good to see.

Indeed, what a race ! All the main contenders have had hard times today whereas Team France was having the perfect day, Thank you Team France & Congratulations ! It was hard to predict Paulin would go 1-1 (I was predicting 5 points with a 2-3), Frossard 2-4 (I was predicting 10 points with a 4-6) and Ferrandis 9-9 (I was predicting 9 points with a 15-9), they ranked a bit better than expected, they rode awesome & fully committed, whereas all the other teams had some issues. Very unlucky for team USA (gate picks then Tomac's set up (?) in the second moto and Dungey in the third one), unlucky for team Belgium with Strijbos's crash, and unlucky for team GB with Simpson's chain. Team Germany and team Italy must forget the day, too bad because Cairoli or Nagl were very impressive as well. For once the black cloud was not on team France ! What a day in the French MX History ! I wish the Ryder cup and mxdn were at least on different weekends, haha. Not a good weekend for the US vs the world. I could really go for one of those "back to back world war champions" memes right about now

A race where Eli did 1.4 sec faster laptimes instead of 2 secs. 2 Teams that where not expected to perform beat the whole damn world. That's the race i've watched.

I bet you don't even ride in real life.

1. Sure, Roczen came to America for easy wins because Herlings was always beating him and he could never get a championship. Now look he has one in America. Musquin isn't as good as the other European riders. Secondly, why is Ryan Villopoto coming to Europe then?

2. The richest team in the world is European and Herlings is in it. Redbull KTM EU

3. Villopoto never beat Herlings on the same bike and never will.

4. Supercross is shit and boring to watch, motocross is what Europeans invented, we don't like yankee supercross.

5. Herlings has come from dead last to 2nd place in 2010.

6. France won it because Europe provides the best racers

7. Not many Europeans come to the USA, in fact more people from the USA come to Europe so that's just common sense that USA win more overseas.

8. Podium is not first place. USA is no longer the best. 2 times in a row they have done worse than the Europeans.

9. I hate New York yankee movies and how they're so fake and cliche. If you watch MXGP you don't have some hyped up loud ass yankee shouting down your ear.

10. Cairoli won it in 2009 race 1 and Herlings is injured with broken bones from rough tracks and not these easy smooth ones with just big jumps.

11. Fuck Uncle Sam. Great Britain invented motocross, remember that!

Bullshit, qualify better and take advantage of the early gate pick, Making the start even for everyone negates the need for qualifying!

I partially agree with you. It was a shitty first turn - lots of first turn pile ups. Like you said, qualifying was essential and Team USA did not do well (example: Tomac's first lap crash during qualifying).

Team USA DID NOT execute, and had a some bad luck ( J Martin's injury) and team France was on fire. Hell of a race by that team.

Team USA had alot of bad luck, true. But I'm not sure if they would have beaten France if they didn't. The Frenchies had just the best team this weekend.
I'm just happy I saw great races and to me the level of USA and the Euro's is pretty equal. Dungey was racing Nagl, Paulin and van Horebeek and speed was basicly the same (Remind Van Horebeek rode with a bent shift lever). Too bad we didn't see Tomac battle upfront from the start.

As a Dutch guy I really enjoyed watching Coldenhoff ripping it on his 250. Imagine if we had Herlings there as well... And what about De Reuver's crash, damn that was ugly. get well soon Marc.

Im from Europe. Love watching ama, haven't missed a single race. But the races in Europe are harder these days. In the US the tracks are fast and nearly not as rough. Way to much track work. And the fact that gps are a two day event compared to the ama races doesn't help either. Guys like Tomac are machines and are ready for everything. In my opinion team USA should have left Dungey at home because hè had a rough long season with the Roczen battle. In stead guys like Bagget, Stewart, Millsaps could have made the difference. guys who keep going no mather what the track looks like.

Do you Americans still sustain that Europe is the "B" series of motocross?
3 years in a row that you got beat without the bless of your mother luck that helped you soooooo many times.
I want to hear how many excuses you will find to keep on saying that American motocross is the best and in Europe we have slow riders compare to yours....
Jody Weisel...what's your take on that?
Maybe Paulin is the best amateur rider in the world?
Tony Cairoli was the real one yesterday and was just very lucky in 2011 and 2012? mmmhhh yeah...right

Can't wait to hear your funny reasons to deny the fact that in the World Championships there are THE BEST RIDERS IN THE WORLD, and we would really appreciate IF yours best rider can come here to show that...and not always the other way around....and by the way,...the current National champ in USA is a guy from Germany....

But ok......we are still the the "second" league of motocross....

Finally an answer that makes sense. I would not be able to explain it better than you, you have the right at any point. I hope the Americans here also understand Wink grtz

I don't disagree with either point, but the starts were huge factors at this race, especially on a fairly one lined funnel corner sand track... The outsides didn't work a lot... I only really saw Eli make outside line passes in any of the turns...

And when you factor in the worse out of the hat draw for the qualifiers, and Martin crashing, and the gate having a heavy bias, it all leads to a bad start position compared to your comp who are on the 1&2 gates...
