Funny when you offer your opinion of a bike you've ridden how irate people get if they dont agree. All the bikes ive ridden with the kyb air forks feel too harsh when i get enough compression on them (either have to run them too soft where they run too low in the stroke or get the harsh feeling) compared to spring forks.
The new triple chamber air forks seem to offer alot more adjustability without having to ship them off to factory connection etc. Managed to get them set up pretty good right away (felt nice and plush on the initial part of the stroke but didnt bottom etc)
personally i think the air forks were a step backwards at first. But these new generation ones seem to be heading in the right direction
PC has my KYBs working like an A-Kit. Literally.
Stock, they were always...no matter what pressure...what settings...harsh...initial thru mid-stroke...HARSH; and, they ATE seals. Not after Bones worked his magic, tho. Anyone that wants to tell me otherwise...or tries to tell me the new Showas aren't better...on the PRODUCTION bikes...HASN'T ridden BOTH.
The Gentleman from Finland has nailed the truth on the Hondas from Day 1. He's a good judge of how they work & feel...and he's honest about the tracks and how the bikes work...during the intros/test rides. He's a good egg.
I'm jus' knowin'...

You have a choice, if you want air forks buy a Kawasaki, Suzuki or a Honda, if you dont then buy a Yamaha or KTM ......if fork suspension performance is your #1 reason. And thats not saying the 2015 air forks are crap, clearly they are not.
CRF250R has also only two pressures to check as the pressure chambers are only in left fork leg (plus atmospheric pressure in outer chamber similar way than in spring forks). Seems also that somehow pressure CRF250R doesn't change that much during the day (maybe because the pressure is so much higher).
