At the end of the day the rider that rides best at different locations, different surfaces and different circumstances wins the championship. So it is actually good in my eyes to have at least one mud race.

By this logic (which may technically be the rule, I'm not arguing with you) if a rider goes off the track and crashes, he can just pick the bike up and tear ass down the side of the track for as long as he needs to until he's back to the spot where he was when he went off the track. This track cutting is ridiculous. The powers that be need to put an end to it.

Agreed.

I'd like to see another replay again before making up my mind, but as of now it did look a bit odd. Surely it can't be right that if you go off the track and therefore lose positions to your competitors, that you can then re-enter (however safely) and unfairly gain that advantage back through cutting the circuit.

The rule doesn't allow you to tear ass down the side of the track though, and Dungey didn't haul ass on that inside line.

Exactly. Great point by GL, top 5 in the race is the top 5 in points.

MXsports is going to have to do something about these first turn runouts. Guys blast through the first turn then use the safety lane to get to the next part of the track. Im not saying anyone does it on purpose...theres gotta be somethere to stop you from doing this.
