I don't frequently see NSFW stuff. The last guy I know of who posted some (topless pics, despite warnings) got clipped.
NSFW does not only mean boobs popping up on your screen and your boss sees them over your shoulder.
Some of these fools will link to pics that are hosted on sites which may be blocked or questionable to your employer. So, for example, you click on a totally harmless thread and some poster has embedded a pic of a girl in a bikini. Not topless so not NSFW, right? Only prob is he linked the pic from www.superxxxpornsomebs.com So now, you "accessed a porn site" while at work. You are now flagged by the IT department for unauthorized usage, etc.
No way to prevent this on a forum like this.
When I worked, I found a way to go through Citrix to a remote computer's desktop and I got my VitalMX fixx from there..
I would love to throw Peely way under the bus because he is the worst offender. However, I appreciate all content Peely posts and generally he throws that stuff out when folks are down and need a lift. Asking folks to change the way they post or the content on Vital would be like racers asking for exceptions for banned substances.. It would screw things up.
I accept the risk when surfing Vital at work.. If a thread title reads something a little 'flashy', I will open the thread when I am certain nobody is around or at home. X1 vote, leave the content be GuyB.
Pit Row
This post would have been 20 pages of roasting in the Motodrive days.
For example, you just accessed foxnews.com because I embedded this pic from their site. If your IT department has Foxnews blocked, you will not see the pic but it will flag that you attempted to access a blocked site.
So basically, it doesn't matter if your boss is looking over your shoulder or not. It's not as simple as what shows on your screen at any given moment.
That link is embedded on this site, the content may be blocked just as ad content is so yes if that site is blocked it will appear as a red X but will not flag on a firewall report as accessing blocked content.
You have to click the link for that to be flagged as accessing inappropriate content.
