Thanks for all of the positive replys guys! let me give you guys some more details about how this opportunity all came together...
First off this came as a surprise to me because talking to my dad and Genova about racing up in canada was not part of there plan, I havnt raced more then 2 times this year and just started really training hard a few weeks ago to start getting ready for next year however Daniel Tibo from deschambault (round 7 of the Canadian series near Quebec) and Stephan from Overton Mx were interested in my dad and Genova letting me race the last few rounds and they would provide me with the plane tickets to make it to there tracks to race the last 4 rounds for motoconcepts with the truck driver jerry wrenching for me. For me this is a great chance to get back on a gate and really build myself up and enjoy these next few hard months racing and being on a really good bike! To be totally honest tho when the opportunity came I was unaware I would be riding the mcr bike, I was first told I could ride whatever bike I wanted to! a few days ago I called mike Genova to order some stickers to hand out to kids and the spectators, when we were talking I told him about the opportunity and that I didn't know what bike or team I would be on and he immediately laughed and told me it was the mcr bike I would be riding. I was shocked and immediately was pretty happy to hear that! So I'm exited to go up and race, I've been on my own bike riding a few times now these last few weeks and been training with my brother this week so I feel like come race time I'll be able to finish the motos and I'm confident by the last race I'll be able to be fast the whole 35 minutes! I'm going up to canada to have fun, I don't want any problems with any riders I just plan on racing my own race and doing the best I can and rebuilding my confidence for next year!

Hmm I guess with all my wrongs there's no possible way I could have made a right.. Which essentially means I must have stolen my 4 shiny dirt bikes, my rocket, my sled and definitely my diesel..

Or what, oh I get it, the only way for me to reach the level of "class" your on is minus my garbage bag full of mistakes and life lessons is too own a shiny boat!!!! That must be it!!!

Thanks for the real life lesson here!!! I should have to pay for this type of training but I don't have a boat so I'm poor and on welfare!

Here is a piece of advice. Take a screenshot of your comment. Print it. Put it away until your 40th birthday. Take it out and read it. Then read this out-loud, "it's OK we all did it!" Oh yeah and this quote will finally have true meaning, "Youth is wasted on the young"! Then repeat a similar sequence for someone like you once were, and the circle will continue to go 'round and 'round as it always has before and always will. You're welcome.

Spent many weeks from September to march in Charlottetown PEI from 99 to 2004 on business at the university. Even raced snowmobiles there, which was a big deal for a guy from California.

Do you know where that is without googling it?

Don't presume.

Actually, I have made some pretty boneheaded decisions in my life. Some I got caught and definitely learned from and grew from as a person. I think it has given me perspective in life I wouldn't otherwise have.
Other boneheaded things I did, usually with friends growing up, some maybe would have been looked down upon by others or even the law, but I'll tell you what, when my friends and I get together, those moments in life, and "getting away with it" are some of the things we still laugh about, and joke with each other on how the hell did we get away with that!!!!! Moments.
To me, I have to agree with MXisLIFE, your life sounds boring.

So you have been to PEI?
Obviously you could not understand the dialect you see the islanders said PEI is in CANADA, not Canuck!

Can't believe I got sucked into the trap of Vital stupidity, yet again. Thanks for the the life coaching guys, I really, really appreciate it. You guys can continue to support Jeff Alessi in whatever brilliant endeavors he has next. Laughing

Its ok if you don't like him but why is it that folks have to keep bringing up the same stuff? This forum could be so much more positive but at times its just silly and adults act like kids often here. If Jeff wants to go race and someone gives him the opportunity, do you think he should? Would you or anyone else do it even if you made a mistakes in the past? Time to move on folks, it is what it is. Lets just enjoy the racing... Good luck Jeff...

Pops passed away when I was young from esophagus cancer, but nice try!

Since I'm already sucked in to the Vital trap, it's a 2009 Malibu Wakesetter that I bought from my boss for about $25,000 under market value. Paid cash.

What's great is I met a couple Vital members this weekend at the river in Parker, AZ and they have been on my boat. Maybe they will see this and chime in.

This mentality that it's ok to be young and dumb is why 90% of my peers are hooked on drugs, drowning in payments, or still living with their parents with a bunch of shitty tattoo's and weird peircings.

For me personally, its a matter of compassion and forgiveness. Like most parents, my inclination is to give the kid a break, it is very obvious that (1) he did something dumb, and (2) he regrets what he did.

It's not like he hurt anyone or changed the outcome of any race - in fact, his activities at Washougal blew up this place, increasing traffic by a HUGE amount, therefore allowing Vital to potentially charge more for paid ads on this web site.

My guess is that GuyB probably got a significant raise because of all the traffic coming in here that week.

So, in a way, didn't Jeff Alessi's actions on that day really HELP the motocross industry economy??

Mistakes are made by all, but when your in the spot light supporting your brother and have a father who runs a muck everywhere he goes with media following every little detail, its safe to say that flashing laser pointers in poeples eyes while they are racing is far from something I would consider a mistake. He knew exactly what he was doing hes not a 5 year old child who needs a talking to.

This kids a disgrace to this sport and NO I DONT THINK HE SHOULD BE GIVEN ANOTHER CHANCE!

He went out there disrespected the conmunity and could have knowingly injured someone. That is not okay in my book.
