Ride Engineering/Ohlins/Pro Circuit backed privateer Fredrik Noren to ride for factory Honda

Ride Engineering/Ohlins/Pro Circuit backed privateer Fredrik Noren to ride for factory Honda for the remaining 2014 Outdoor Nationals. Starting July 4th weekend at Redbud, the former Swedish national champion will be on Barcia's factory CRF450R. Noren has been putting his production KTM equipped with some Ride Engineering hard parts, Ohlins suspension and a Pro Circuit exhaust, consistently in the low teens and Honda noticed.

Good luck Fredrik!

Let's talk about the real issue. RideEngineering completely stole the thunder/excitement from this young man and let the beans out in a stupid spam email they send to the people who are too lazy to unsubscribe from them (like me). I kind of feel gutted for the guy that he couldn't relish in the moment and have a little Presser or something and have his moment.....

So what are you basing that on? The times you've ridden both bikes? Blink

This kid was off my radar, but I agree he seems to be a logical choice. Anyone have background info on him? I wish him luck though!

His results so far this year have been impressive. He is 13th in the points with the following finishes:

Round 1: 29th 16th
Round 2: 12th 13th
Round 3: 16th 14th
Round 4: 14th 13th
Round 5: 18th 16th

Huh those results don't seem that good. I'm glad for someone out there to get the chance, though. Good luck man

I had the pleasure of being part of his pit crew this past weekend while at Muddy Creek.I went to the line with him and gave him pit signals.I asked him what Amy posted to him on the pit board and he said that sometimes she put turtles on the board...Fredrick is a class act and very nice young man.I hope this is true because he certainly needs and deserves this ride.
har! that is awesome. what a cool girl and mesmerizing to boot! good for him!

Fredrik Noren fills in for injured Justin Barcia at Team Honda Muscle Milk

Torrance, CA: Team Honda Muscle Milk announces today that current privateer Fredrik Noren will fill in for the injured Justin Barcia at the remaining rounds of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, beginning with the Red Bud National.

After winning the Jr. Swedish Championship in 2009 and the Swedish Championship in 2010, Noren moved to the United States in 2011 to compete in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series. Since making his debut in America he has appeared in the top 10 multiple times and currently sits 13th overall in the 2014 standings. The 22-year-old was presented the Ricky Carmichael Hard Charger Award from the Thunder Valley National after putting together an impressive come-from-behind performance in the second moto, moving up from 35th to finish 14th.

“This is a dream come true,” said Noren. “I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity and I can’t wait to work with everyone at Team Honda Muscle Milk. When I came to the U.S. I raced a Honda and really liked it, so to be able to ride a factory CRF450R is incredible. Also, not having the stress of trying to raise money to get to the races and having to work on my own bike will be such a relief.”

“We are excited to have Fredrik join our team for the remaining rounds of the series,” stated team manager Dan Betley. “He continues to be a top privateer each week and we believe with the proper equipment he can really show his true potential.”

Do you think they looked at Jimmy Albertson for this ride? I'm not sure on timing of him switching to KTM, maybe that influenced Honda's decision? Just seems like he was on Honda and had decent publicity in comparison to Noren. Either way, very cool that they picked up a privateer...think if he does good he will get picked up by a good team after?

He did not let us down, for sure! Way to go with minimal time on the new bike. Two good starts, a fall? and then some serious come from behind in the first moto, from 37-38 up to 17th. Rc Hard charge Award?? And to top it off a solid 10th in the second moto.
Proud of FactoryFreddy doin all this.

No doubt! I'm definitely impressed with his results!
You're right he'll only get better as he gets more comfortable on the bike.
I look forward to seeing him improve. Cool
