My brother is a huge RV fan. Your 95% figure is way off. That`s your paranoia talking.

Please let this be true, I would be SO stoked if RV took on the MXGP's. Maybe that's why Herlings is staying down in MX2 another year Woohoo Silly

The GP tracks are MX and not outdoor SX, Mike is one of the few that could go over there and have any chance of winning
You could say the same thing about Josh Grant, but I would bet a million bucks that neither he nor Mike Alessi could win a world title.

I hope is true also, I would like to see him go put on a clinic. As far as fans, he already has a big fan base there, not everyone would like to see him lose, to think that, is just plain stupid!!!!

Agree 100%. The top American rider finally having the stones to go take on the GP's in the peak of his career! Wouldn't that alone give his fan base a huge push? Good to have you posting again Konghole

People may like to think all Europeans hate on US based riders because of the AMA/GP rivalry but there are PLENTY of Villopoto, Stewart and Reed fans over here, I dare say more than there are fans of Herlings and Cairoli. There will undoubtedly be RV fans in Euope every bit as fanatical as Zook or Pilotdude, and Stewart fans just as passionate as Lenny.

Everyone loves AMA racing in Europe and most of the riders are well liked.

If RV came and raced GP's it's the only way he could be regarded higher than RC.

And fans over here would love it, people are sick of the KTM show...

You have no clue mate.
100% of the fans would love to see any (top) US rider come over and maybe 5% would like to see 'm loose to the GP riders.

When RC raced the MXdN at Ernee 2005 he got a standing ovation from every fan at the track.
European fans love the US riders, I have never heard a US rider getting booed here.

Don't let MXoN emotions fool you on this one.

Nice, I was thinking the same thing. He's already in the conversation for the most dominant rider ever, easy. Doing it on both sides of the pond would be epic. I'm certainly no RV fanboy but I think he would take the title his first year. JMO but I think it's funny people suggesting KRoc would be beating him if he was racing outdoors. I don't think the culture shock or new tracks would faze him at all, he's a beast outdoors. Only injuries have beaten him, not so much the competition

RV wants to eat like a fatty and shoot his guns. He's sick of training and having to be the face of a bunch of different companies. He's admitted this. He's burnout. So you really think he's going to go to the GP's where he'll have to learn new tracks and travel all over the world? hellooooooooooooooo do you guys even think before your type?

Agreed forget about what happens at MXDN this is a series where speed/ winning/ skill is appreciated - look at last year with Shaun winning all fans AND teams were cheering for him

We would welcome Mike Alessi with open arms over here (on the provison that Tony stays at home).

Mike is one hell of a dirt bike rider and he races with a lot of heart.

Exactly ! I know it will never happen, but Villo would immediatly have wagons of fans if he decided to come here.

That's great to hear, and most of the folks who love MX and aren't caught up in the nonsense would love it. I'd love it. Unfortunately, I understand it's even less likely to happen in this particular case than just the general ramblings of how nice it would be to see a top American rider do it in his prime.

I guess we'll find out, and if there's any surprise it'll be a good one.

Hey JT I see him pulling in 10 no problem clothing- tires -helmet- goggles- boot's - Go-pro- chain - sprockets- rod&piston - supplements - bike contract - performance bonus's - show money - prize money - and being the biggest name rider from the USA to run the GP's I am sure he would bring in some major euro sponsor's to I think he would bring in easy 10 million

And it will be so great to have a 10M$ rider in Europe when 3/4 of the MX2 kids have to pay to ride ... Luongo system sucks.

I love the AMA riders, but I really hope that none of them will cross the sea to be part of that mess that we call GP's.

Most of the items on that list are team sponsors and he makes zero off of them. The rest of those are already contracted for 2015 and if anything, would go down for a move to Europe. 10 million for GP series is far, far too high.

Couldn't he get a special deal from Monster or Luongo himself to make that happen?

The Exception(s) to some of the Pro/Con arguments being made are:

1. It's Monster's Series, over there, and they may see the incentive to send someone that they think can bring them more Success (think "Exposure" for their Marketing $).

2. Other Sponsors of RV's might want to "Go to Europe" if he does: Thor? Oakley? Parts Europe? Dunlop/Falken (SRI)? DC? GoPro? All of those brands may want in on a European deal. Even some of the "after-market" brands may want to get in on it...even though, as mentioned by JT, they're usually part of the Team's sponsorship package.

I know some people think it's far-fetched; but, he's commented on wanting to go there and race.

Is Villo in the market for a Villa? Just because we all think him lining up at the GP's would be the coolest thing ever doesn't mean it's gonna happen. But it would seriously tempt me to renew my passport and spend some time with the in.-laws over in England.
