It's already been said, but there was no top five (at that time) rider to fill the spot RV left. Metty is doing fine. He's fifth in points...I think Kawasaki is probably pleased.
Also, Lame (applicable), most riders' contracts have clauses that say if they have to have surgery for an injury, one that happens as a biprosuct of racing...he can get it fixed without the threat of being kicked to the curb.

Kawasaki agreed to him getting the surgery. They hold next year's sx title with much more importance than the outdoors.
When you win four consecutive sx titles you will join him and mc on the list of only ones to accomplish such record, then you can make decisions in how you want to wind down your career.
If Kawasaki isn't upset, which they aren't, then why are you?

It still doesn't answer my question as to why Kawasaki doesn't have him at the Nationals - he's a US based rider and is absent from the scene.
Just trying to figure out their reasoning.

Try reading and understanding it. I acknowledged he was recovering from surgery and couldn't race, so why the need to make your comment if you read and understood that? Only two answers for that: either you didn't read it or you didn't understand it.
And you even said "Traveling through Europe does not put RV's surgically repaired knee in near the amount of danger..." - since you acknowledge THAT , we can go back to my original question (you know, the one you either didn't read or understand, remember?) - if he's well enough to travel to Europe why can't he travel to the Nationals and be in the pits doing PR?
Would you feel better if I had a question as to why a rider you dislike wasn't in the pits while they're recovering?

Now, back to my original question - does anyone know why Kawasaki doesn't have RV at the Nationals doing PR (NOT racing for all the other tards that can't get it) but instead has him in Europe?
I was hoping to see him at Muddy Creek this weekend but doesn't look like that's going to happen.
