Burning question of the weekend. Will the sweet smell of motocross in the 70s (no, not two-strokes) waft over the fabled hills of Thunder Valley Raceway? Look for a post-race report.

I'll bet a lot of lawyers just got interested in professional Motocross.

Who will be our A-Rod?

Can our sport survive the lawsuits and negative publicity that seems to always go hand-in-hand with this stuff?

It's not like most average people are keen on dirt bike racing in the first place.

Most people I know would kill to save Baseball, but could give a crap if Motocross lived or died.

This whole testing thing is a fuckin joke, trying to justify the legitimacy of the sport... This isn't the way to do it. Joe Rogan hit the nail on the head on this topic.

Testing for the first time in Colorado, because of the legalization, is just dumb. Martyr.

Don't agree there. No pot is a rule of the sport and if you can't follow the rules while being a professional athlete then I think you have bigger issues.

You're missing the point.
It's a wack rule,
because it's legal like beer and it doesn't help performance, and some people need it medically.

A lot of pain pill addicts in this sport. . . If there were other options available for managing their pain there might be less.

I just assumed they'd already tested today; if not, that makes any positive results total bulllshit.

There's a difference between announcing it and calling riders in.

They're doing blood work so it's not going to matter if a rider knows a test is coming. It's not like a dirty rider can do anything about it 1 day before testing. If they're doping they're fcked.....

Anybody know which substances are banned and what the punishment is for first/second offenses? I'm sure there are plenty who will disagree but I don't think riders should be punished for marijuana in this day and age. Not only has it been legalized or decriminalized in many states but it's medical benefits have been proven beyond any doubt.

Maybe it's a wack rule, but right now it's still a rule. If you can't follow what's clearly a rule, you're not all that professional to me.

Certainly possible, but like I said, it's not the fact of whether it should be a rule or not, but that it currently is a rule, so you're a bit dumb to partake knowing it's against the rules of your business.

You're missing the point. There are several legal supplements on the list that the riders can't take. Masking agents etc, they don't give a boost, but they other drug usage.

Btw, I am all for legalization, bt it's still federally illegal.

Not enough time to have built one by now, but they will get there eventually.

If you guys new who was in a tight circle before races ten years ago it would blow your minds and you would never never... never believe it. I know we hate the "I know something I can't tell" thing but yea I saw with my own lungs, I mean eyes.. and it would be a shit storm of denial across the moto world. sorry

They gotta start somewhere right?

Serious question, does altitude in anyway affect your blood makeup?
