A year since what, your girlfriend posted for you? Consumed with your nonsense? Seems to me the only thing I've ever really mentioned was when you and Varner had the little "gardening" incident, and I told you that it would be best kept private. As in to yourself, not broadcast over the internet. Then comes the laser incident, seems to me it was a 60 page meltdown here, and I don't think I even commented. Mostly because I didn't care, but go look for the thread, I could be wrong. Mad? No, entertained. I'm well on my way in my life, perhaps you could take your own advice.
I'll recap what you got wrong in your post, in order of non appearance or error, please try and follow along: ", , e , always trying you're". It would help if you'd stop playing with the laser pointer while I'm teaching.

A brother who is now racing up in Canada, in what a lot of people refer to as a "second rate series"? We have a population up here approximately 1/10 of the US, how many hot tub covers is Mike Genova going to sell in a market where Moto is an unknown entity?
I have no idea why Mike is riding up here, if he thinks it's his one and only shot at a title, good luck. He's talented enough, but the window on an AMA title is closed, and that's just life. Certainly is going to be tough for BoobyM to be running around like a fuckin peacock in full pose with a Canadian title on the mantle. Maybe there IS an upside to this excursion north.

Jeff,

I have followed your brother for years and he is actually my favorite rider in the outdoors.

Let me give you some advice.

Your families bread and butter is the MX/SX fan. If I were you the only thing I would post on Vital is the following

"I would like to thank everyone who is showing support for Mike. It is great to see so much support for my family from the fan base".

You would do yourself and Mike some favors by doing so. Arguing on the "interwebs" is never a good idea if you or your families wallet is tied to what you are arguing about.

So easy to be an asshole from behind a keyboard. An actual pro posts on our board and gives his perspective and he gets the typical Vitard treatment. Guess everyone that posts here has never fucked up before and is perfect. Good to know. Thanks for not letting this shit get to you Jeff and for your continued posting

Good advice. Don't try and defend your brother. We are just fans that like to shoot the shit. You just need to learn that and not get so defensive. We don't know you guys, we don't know your situation. We are just bench racers and fans with opinions that change and sometimes we just speak to speak and talk shit.

You do NOT need to defend your brother or yourself. You guys are a pro motocross family and you should act like it. Just let us fans do our thing and don't worry about us.

Awesome result for Mike and the team. Hope he continues his success and stays out of any drama up north. Would love to see Josh Hill, Colton Facciotti and Mike go at until the very end.

If Smarttop sells more covers and Mike collects a big bonus (if he can secure a title) then how isn't this good?

Josh Hill and Mike Alessi going to Canada is positive for the series. They have good talent up there and adding these two did nothing but make the racing that much more exciting.

Mike is way too good to be racing up north. Watching Metty really makes me wonder how Mike would be doing right now especially considering that the first two rounds are his two best tracks. Colt will give him challenges but if you guys actually think Colt can beat Mike for a title, well then give me what your smoking, Mike is the best racer to ever race that series.

Thats BS, if more Vitards knew how to properly discuss things more pro's would still be on here.

So I hear Tony's puzzled at why sponsors aren't beating down their door?

Huh.

I'm actually a Mikey fan - so please stay off the Internets Jeff, for everyone else's sake. Episodic drama is killing his career, has been for years. Damn shame too...

Mike is the one who suffers most from the family's drama. Heck, all he wants to do...seems has ever wanted to do is just race his dirt bike. I frankly think he's done pretty damned well for having the stress from his family's bullshit piled on his shoulders for all these years. If I were Mike Alessi, I'd have told my dad to take a freaking hike years ago, and told my kid brother to grow up or don't freaking show up! I guarantee you, if Mike had decided to walk away from all that crap...he'd have had a much brighter career, and would have made himself the millions he deserves instead of having to be the cash cow for Team Alessi.

Whatever, the guy wants to win motos and a title, along with that he'll get a bunch of confidence and come back and kill it next year like Metty is now.
Stress free racing up here, sounds like a good time to me

That's true, but as far as the 450 class, I'd agree that Alessi is the greatest 'merican to ever race on Canadian soil.

Jeff, if I were you I would stop social networking altogether. When has it ever achieved anything for you?

I used to be a huge fan of you and Mike but every time you get into these dumb arguments, I lose a little more respect for you.

Actions speak louder than words. Do your talking on the track. I hope you can get back into the racing scene and shut us all up.

I'm sure the competition is tough up there. The Canadian championship still has to be won and alot can go wrong during the season even if you're in the top 3 in speed.
I've watched the series before and alot of the tracks are damn cool.
Personally, I'm rooting for Teddy Maier, but I'll bet Josh Hill will keep in the hunt on this series.

This ^. When one resorts to correcting spelling and punctuation, he embarrasses himself much more than the target. Although, in most cases, he is too ignorant to realize it. Given the context of this thread, there is definitely one person that is past the point of having "... at least SOME semblance of dignity. (snicker)" And that person is not Alessi.

How's this? GO MIKE! How can we not be rooting for Mike to do well up north? If he keeps his nose clean and races hard what else can we as fans ask for? Hill too. You always want the guys who represent your country to do well. Although Ive spent a fair amount of time in Canada and love it and the people, so its not like I root against Canadians.

An interview with Facciotti after the race.

http://www.mxpmag.com/mxp-chatter-colton-facciotti-4/

Interesting to hear Mike looked over at him and then proceeded to take him out. Colt thought it was dirty and Bobby Kiniry, someone who is know to be very aggresive even thought it was dirty. Good job Mike. Way to help that reputation

I couldn't help but notice a bit of hypocrisy in that interview...at the end, he justifies an aggressive pass on Kiniry (where the only reason they both didn't go down was because Kiniry-the guy getting passed-was a "professional" and let off and let him by)...but at the beginning of the interview he calls alessi dirty for doing the same thing to him (where if he-the guy getting passed-had been a "professional" and let off and let alessi pass him, he wouldn't have gone down).
