Apparently JS played sore loser with Pourcel and refuse to shake his hand? Pourcel said on motoverte interview that the US team called him out for riding over the top. Do they think cuz they are the superstars and we all recognise JS and RV they are unbelievable riders that they are going to hand it to them without fighting for it. Pourcel and RV went down but this was just racing in a tight pack.

And Pourcel raced Bubba in the first laps of Moto 3 put a racing blockpass on him that JS didn't like. Man this is racing for your nation, for your flag he isn't not going to hand it easy to him. Seb told JS in the press conference that he saw him putting passes like that on Reed all year. To which JS responded that yes but he respects Chad...

Anyway it's just like Matterley in 06: The US wins but JS ends up a sore loser again!!!

I thought James had about the same amount of respect for Chad as R-acer does?

That's right.

By the way, Stewart has NO EXCUSE to complain like he did.

Remember RC: that guy was a class act.

Well if you speak french got to motoverte.com and listen to Seb Pourcel interview or read Pascal Haudiquert's report of the race. if you don't well just have to wait for some press conference report. And apparently mediaozne showed when Bubba didn't want to shake hands.

yeah bring RC back he was class always showed respect for the other riders.

Oh go on feel free relieve your mind from all that anger... lol

Man as a Euro I'm a fan of US riders and Outdoors they just sound and look cool. I was there like I was in 06 to watch JS which is definetly the fastest rider on earth and a rider that whatever happens as marked the sport.

But why would he do that. We all know he was the fastest and if not for a small mistake he would have killed the field out there by 20 sec. So why does he have to play it like that? can't he tell Pourcel "fairplay mate you were pretty quick in the openings laps" rather than tell him that he was riding dangerous and over the top. When did he get this mister untouchable status?? Same thing from the fans. Iwas next to some americans when there was the JS/ Pourcel battle in the first laps. They were just like "who does he think he is? lets see if he can do this for 20 min?" seriously so arrogant it's annoying. this is racing I don't car if MR Stewart in front you go for it!

I have great respect for him but his attitude at the end of the race was just lame. Not a champ attitude!

Taken from Racer X:

You talked a bit about Sebastien Pourcel in the press conference, with him maybe making some pretty aggressive moves on you. Do you think this is going to be a new thing you and your teammates are going to have to learn to deal with at this race?

I think so. Nobody [on the U.S. team] talked any crap before we came over here, because we respect those guys tremendously. I said all along that it was going to be tough, and it was. Even when we beat those guys yesterday [in the qualifying races], I told Ryan [Villopoto] and Timmy [Ferry] that it would be a different story today – that they wouldn’t ride the same – and then when he [Pourcel] took Ryan out that first moto, and then [David] Philippaerts tried taking me out, and then Sebastien tried taking me out, and then tried getting me again, it just kind of bummed me out because I felt like they should just try and beat me straight up and be done with it. I never tried to hit him. But I’m not going to complain about it. Racing is racing, and I guess if I was in his situation and knew I couldn’t go the whole distance, I’d probably have to take him out, too. [Laughs]

The more i hear of these Prima donna's having a fit because someone wants to race them and trade a bit of plastic, the more i am convinced they wouldnt have lasted 5 minutes back in the day.

I'm sure that none of the GP riders deliberately set out to take out any of the American riders. If you watch GP racing aggressive overtaking is commonplace - as it often is in the AMA - aslong as it's clean, which all the moves on James were, then they're purely racing incidents. Im sure that everyone else who watched the racing thought the same too.

It sounds as though Bubba is too used to having everything his own way and he's forgotten what it feels like to actually race someone again.

Seriously i thought Philli who usually is quite agressive was going to take Stewart out but he didn't. But Pourcel known for not being agressive enough. Stewart and Villopoto using words like "take out" has a lot of meaning. To me it's Windham on Vuillemin in SX:

This was just racing! I like what Ferry had to say. He shows where the maturity lies in the team...

Were there any riders that impressed you today?
Yeah, for sure, that [David] Phillipaerts guy was good, Sebastien Pourcel was very good today... I’ve seen Sebastien ride a supercross track in California and look like a novice. Obviously, today he was so much better. To see what confidence can do to somebody is amazing. He’s confident here and rode really awesome. Maybe [he rode] a little dirty but, hey, he was going for it. We do the same thing in the States – we’re the most aggressive country out there. I guess he stuck it in a few times on Ryan and James. There were some guys that beat me in the qualifier that I’ve never heard of. The biggest thing I took from today was that anyone of these guys, in their element, can beat almost anyone. We were in our element last year, and look what happened

Oh and Pourcel was hoping to come and train in the US during the winter but given how the US troops were all over his case he was not sure he would be allowed in the country anymore lol

I'm sure James was a bit overwhelmed with having shit tossed at him, cheering when he crashes and guys trying to take out the team all the while knowing how much shit he's going to get if the team doesn't bring home the trophy.

Who wants to bet that's the last time we see him race a MXDN?

You idiots don't know how lucky you are to get to watch him ride a dirt bike.

I guess if a clean block pass involves both riders hitting the dirt, you are right.

Idiots? There is another guy that said even in the US people cheer/scream when bubba goes down (and not get hurt). Just because they think the race is on again. Not because of him. As far as tossing stuff on the tracks I was there for two days walked around the track non stop and haven't seen anyone do that or screaming abuse at the US riders. Apparently there was an idiot throwing a bottle... well I'm sure you have one of them idiot at each race.

Stop victimised the US riders. they had the rockstar treatment, people cheering for them as well, the longest autograph queue, people camping outside their paddock area to catch a glimpse, every proper moto fan eyes on them with stars in their eyes.... Out of the 600 pictures I've taken maybe half of them are of the 3 US riders...

Yes idiots, here and there. I'm the one who said it happens here too.

Go read Calistheman's post and tell me bubba was treated like a rock star. It's a disgrace how he was treated and has been his entire career.

The true thing is that those guys DO behave like rockstars when coming here, and that pisses more tan 1 or 2 fans. In '06 I (being a nobody) was able to shake hands with Everts (the hero of the day without a doubt), while I was just able to see the US guys throug the cristal of their limousine. Bummer.

they might have lasted whitey...but they sure would have had to change their "tudes" when it comes to hard racing. Yer supposed to race hard on the track and leave it on the track. after the race you talk and throw congrats around and look towards the next sunday. at least that is the way it was back in the "day" Smile
