Grant Langston
Weege
Georgia
How'd they do?
Seems they got better towards the end. I bet they will get a lot more fluid thru the season. I bet it's pretty hard to go live on TV like they did.
Noticed Georgia said "the #1 of Ryan Dungey" in the podium interview. She meant first place finisher. lol
Grant ran out of stuff to say about the track during the awkwardly long animated track map
That's about all I noticed really that I can remember. Georgia asked some killer questions to the riders. I loved that!
Disclaimer: I'm not making fun of them because I damn sure couldn't do it better.... just harmless moto talk

Would be a 10/10 if both motos were on TV and in HD.
I mean, 0/10 because I had to change the channel
Halfway through the first 250 moto... I don't remember who they were showing, but I know who I wanted to see: the crawler was showing Dean, Pourcel and Baggett all within 3 seconds of each other, but they never switched to them. sadface.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Otherwise I think they did a good job...
Rant over. Probably not forever but for this thread.
my like list.
nobody told us what color the bikes are
georgia didnt ask the riders how they feel (ugghhh erin bates)
dont follow 1 rider forever. keep switching cameras
sound a+ could really hear the bikes,no sound to feel the speed and power kills a broadcast.
camera angles were pretty good. need to show the speed up close here and there.not a football field away.
weege totally gets saying sponsors and teams .very nice job.
showing team names with the riders when they are on the screen with lap times. i think sponsors like this
keep it up tv crew.
"...The second motos, unfortunately, won’t air until later on Saturday night on NBC Sports Network due to all of the hockey playoffs and car races on Memorial Day Weekend.
But next week, beginning with the Hangtown National, it’s pretty much all live every moto on TV. Thanks to everyone at NBC/Alli Sports, MAVTV, and the whole Lucas Oil TV Productions crew for working hard to make this better and better for viewing."
Langston was a huge surprise for me. I generally liked Fro and I expected very little of GL and thought he was going to be annoying, but man he did a fine job.
Georgia was fine for a pit reported. In small enough doses, she adds a little life to the commentary. Plus she knows moto, unlike most other token female pit reporters.
Top Jimmy is a very LUCKY guy...........

As for the TV crew, I thought they did a great job. No complaints there.
One bitch I have about the production, though is why do we have to have a cartoon track map to show the track layout when everyone and their dog is wearing Go-Pro's?
Can't we just count on having a Go-Pro ride for 1 complete lap every week in place of the stupid cartoon animation?
It makes no sense to me!
As far as the screwed up TV package, well that's another story. The streaming video sucked and kept cutting out and the 2 channel thing and only some have HD and SD is useless. I will continue to say that live TV is killing the sport and not expanding it. I mean I remember when the tracks, both SX and MX use to get some prep between heats and motos and we use to have good womens racing too.
Take away TV all together and people, both men and women will still gather and race. It's a proven fact.
Myself, I got rid of my TV because there is only a select few things I watch and they were on Speed channel in HD and it was awesome, so if we could get that back and Dave Despain we would be cooking with Crisco.
I will continue to download the torrents the next day in HD and watch them on my TV with no commercials because it's so awesome that way. I'm sure when Obama gets his way we will not have a open internet as well as other freedoms.
Just my 2 cents. Flame on if you like
Jason
hes great for the show and mx in general
I thought they did a great job - and I really like Fro.
Makes me wonder how good Fro and GL would be announcing SX.
GL, Fro, Weege...not a bad lineup
