I love this stuff, the gear with the barbed wire was probably my favorite.

X2 that stuff was awesome.. What ever happened to No Fear?
They closed up shop a few years ago. Not sure on the specifics but I would assume that the flooded gear market didn't help. In my opinion not having a Carmichael, Reed, Stewart, Villopoto caliber rider didn't help with sales. I feel they also missed the mark with the styling of their gear a year or two before they closed shop.

Isn't Alias basically the same people from No Fear?

I'd say the shift from '97-2000

The thor from 05-07

No fear from 04-08 was on point.

Fox '98-01 and the 06-07 stuff

Today's gear I would spend money on shift or seven gear

A few comes to my mind, JT, No Fear, etc, but I would say Bradshaw's 92 incl. the axo boots & shoei helmet.

This wins in my book

After that, the Red Bull racing factory Alpinestars gear always looks trick.

What do you think is the best looking MX gear line of all time in terms of design, etc.?

My vote would be the red and blue Honda leathers and red, blue, and white Honda Jersey of around 1976 or 1977, the Shift gear the first few years when they first came out around 1999-2000, and the Thor gear around 2004-2005, are good examples.

I think the gear today needs to get back to some of these original designs as the designs that are common today look like pajamas or what I heard referred to recently as "clown suits". This is because the current designers believe that making everything in the design asymmetrical looks modern.. one pant leg or jersey sleeve is red while the other is blue, diagonal stripes, Logos on one corner of the shoulder or sleeve, but not on the other. It looks a little silly to me.. yup, the designs would look better on a clown or little kids pajamas and I feel silly wearing them.

You guys think the same? What designs from the past would you like to see come back?

mike
The Rick Johnson Fox stuff and the Bradshaw Fox stuff, nothing has been better since.

I wouldn't wear Fox now though unless they gave it to me free. Back then it was the shit though.

I believe a majority of the same people that were involved with No Fear are involved with Alias. Probably why they had Josh Grant and the Geico Team in their gear that first year.

True, the Hallman goatskins are another world. To bad they scuffed shredded like TP, but better than it being your skin. They were hot, though.

I'm a Fox guy, but the early to mid 2000's No Fear stuff was really nice

I love this old axo kit.
The pinstrips look amazing.

The Emig of 97 98 might be up there with the coolest gear/champion combo ever.

Answer had some nice stuff around 1996 that Mike Kiedrowski wore, I cant find any pictures of it, but they used some great colors. I remember the magazine ad with Kiedrowski and immediately bought a couple of sets.
