AC was def pushing hard in moto 2. He was lucky on more than one occasion to keep upright.

Bikes were kicking all over the place, great racing

I swear there are people on here that could watch Cairoli first hand pull two holeshots on a deep sand track and run away with the win, then tear his bike down themselves, measure it, officially confirm it is a 350F to the public then come on here the day after and question their own findings!

That top photo shows you exactly why he got that holeshot (AC is extreme right).

He's virtually the only guy in that photo who is straight, balanced, not wheelying and in control. Virtually every other rider is either squiggly, or wheelying. That start (and pretty much every other one, ever) was won in the first three yards over the gate. Nothing to do with horsepower.

Seeing as KTM Pretty much run the GP's I wouldn't be surprised if they knew ahead of time about the inspection. Judging my all the press releases they've released it looks like a marketing ploy for the bike more than anything else. But saying that, he did run a 400 kit on his YZF before he went to KTM

I would like to see Dungey and Roczen spend time / get used to riding a 350 and see what their results are.
Where did you find that KTM sells more 350s than 450s? Wouldn't mind seeing those numbers.

KTM requested the inspection to shut down the rumors en proof that the 350 KTM is capable of winning and holeshotting.

Lol so it defeats the whole point of it being inspected to see if it is a 350 if KTM requested the inspection. They're not gonna have a 400 cylinder on it are they?.. Now a random strip down and not one organised by KTM ahead of time would mean something.

You guys are idiots why is it hard to believe that the guy rides a 350 better than the 450. I'm the same way you could put me on a 450 and I guarantee you I am going to go slower than my 350. They are heavy, don't turn, don't stop and the power on them is so unusable it's just silly. I can ride way harder, longer, faster and in better control on a 350 any day of the week. It's just that right middle ground where you don't get out motored like you do a 250 but it's so much more nimble to move around that it makes it worth it. It's like you guys are surprised that the KTM makes awesome power but they have always been known to do so.

Or they were not 250Fs maybe they were 290 kitted pulling hole-shots against the 450's, hang on that is still 60cc less than Cairoli's bike.

Hang on is Ferris's bike not only pulled a hole-shot on a field of 450's but also Caroli's secret super powered KTM 350 SX-F now way has to be some sort of FIM conspiracy payed for by Lungo? Right can't be any other answer!

Were they underpowered?

Alessi and Short were no where near AC's level. Not a slam, just the facts. AC is one of the very best ever, and rides that bike really well, if anyone could make that bike look good then AC could.

the US tracks are alot faster (gp tracks slower, rougher and more technical) - maybe the 350 is suited better to the gp tracks than the american ones

having said that alessi won a moto on the 350...

i would like to see someone like tomac race the 350 in america- i think it would suit his style perfectly

It was interesting that Kenny opted for the 450 though, I thought that was quite telling. Cairoli also seemed to suggest he might favour a 450 on American tracks.

I think as much as anything there's gotta be some mental aspect to it.

Really, why does AC need to change. He's won 3 (?) straight titles on that thing, why change?

In the US, the racing the way it is, (probably likely more agressive) maybe you can't afford to leave any advantage when it comes to cut and run. That seems to be what Shorty said a lot, he just couldn't give the rest of the guys any hp advantage if it meant he lost opportunities to drag people or get a run etc...
