Why should he? In case you haven't figured it out yet......some guys are either in the industry or have friends and family in the industry. " Sometimes " you get told things in advance before the public knows ( which is cool ).......but to spill the beans and tell everyone on a friggin' message board of who you heard it from....and where.......is stupid. You can cost people their jobs , cost riders their sponsors , and basically just cause a bunch of shit nobody needs.

MM has his source , his opinion , ect......who gives a shit what you think about it? Believe it.....or don't. I don't think he cares.

If this is the case why would he open his mouth in the first place? I mean if people can lose their careers why wouldn't he be more tight lipped.

I was not aware that he needed someone to explain his actions. The man has a keyboard, let him speak. You are just trying to be an argumentative douche and have very little, if any, useful information.

He's not the only one that has posted that he knows something....For those that refuse to listen to "who" is speaking, it is a done deal Kenny will be under the RCH awning in 15....also in case you didn't know, the world is not flat...

This forum in particular has a lot of WP40 worshippers. This forum also represents a pretty small segment of overall fans. I don't know how his fan interaction is. I do know that he's made some questionable comments that might not be viewed upon as friendly in social media.

There was an incident this year involving him and Matt Lemoine where WP40 felt it needed to say this on Instagram... "There is way too many cry babies in this sport, if you don't like bar bangin' then go play soccer, bud. #47." The incident was brought up here. Along with reference to him "throwing sponsors and engine builders under the bus." I'm not sure about the sponsor comment.

And then there's the interview with RacerX Open Mic where he made this comment: "Yeah, I had to go to the LCQ which I hate doing and riding with spodes." (discussed here)

A couple of seemingly minor incidents for sure. Until you think about it from the point of view of a sponsor. A sponsor is utilizing a rider for marketing. To basically insult a competitor is poor form. And then to say that the guys in an LCQ are a bunch of spodes (when most of the people who a company would market to can't even apply for a pro license) doesn't reflect well.

That's not to say that everything has to be all roses and rainbows all the time. But when you aren't putting in top tier results where you're a possible winner...your attitude carries a lot more weight. The edgy attitude is great. He's a guy speaking his mind and not so robotic. Until you go to market it. Then it's not so great. Sponsorship is a business. It's all about the return on the investment (anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar). You want a friendly, neutral or positive personality representing your company. Not a negative one. It's the equivalent of going to a job interview and not being well spoken or well dressed for the job. Image matters. That image includes all aspects from appearance to communication.

Hopefully he pulls something together. He's got a program that seems to be working for him since when he does finish he gets a decent (not great from a sponsor point of view) result. I'll bet if he approaches sponsors the right way and cleans up his image just a little bit...things improve for next season. I hope he does.

Something else to think about is that I have heard that WP40 is a major pain in the ass to deal with. Hard to work with and a premadonna. I have no proof. I am not stating as fact. But that might explain why he doesn't have more help.

I'm sure the Suzuki will fit Kenny's style. That's an exciting move for RCH.

So do you all think KTM couldn't afford what RCH is willing to pay Roczen? I only ask because KTM has a HUGE budget and I haven't a clue about what RCH can afford. You have to remember that Roczens current contract gives KTM the right to keep Kenny if they match his offer from the competitor.

I would like to extinguish this immediately. No where near a pain in the ass to work for. And as far as things go, there have been two mechanicals and the rest have just been unfortunate crashes. He is on his way to the podium for sure. Shouldnt doubt that.

He's riding so good and obviously looks better than ever, but for him to get on the podium he's going to have to get really lucky! His 2 top 5 finishes which are a amazing and something to really be proud of, were 30 seconds + behind 3rd so IMO you need to get your biased strength glasses prescription checked because those are the facts. But next year who knows, if he keeps progressing at this rate then it's a definitive possibility.

RCH couldn't pay KROC and I agree, they certainly can't match KTM. I can't see a situation where Roger lets him go.

Roger doesnt have to "let" him go if Kenny wants to leave.

I dont think Kenny wants to be at KTM any longer and I know its hard for all the KTM fanboys to come to terms with that.

suzuki has a better bike than KTM , that does nt make KTM a bad bike makes suzuki a great bike , as RC,CR,RD,and now JS have shown ,RCH has a big budget , a great bike ,the GOAT, as the manager ,KROC , has a huge history with suzuki ,was reported he wanted off KTM after the MXON ,by the MAN himself ,but they convinced him to stay , JT, Matthes, and Weege , have all said it is a done deal , why is it soo hard for people to believe , ??

Seriously? Do you realize that RCH has two Indian Casino's backing and they are one of highest budgeted teams if not the highest...trust me they can afford Kenny.

One surprise, or should I say Improved is WP40. He has been a PITBULL this year and I'm sure he's opened alot of eyes. He has turned into a solid top 5 guy. I'd love to hear the low down on who's been talking to him as I'm sure teams have been sniffing around his pits...

Like someone said, he has two top five finishes. That's hardly "solid top 5 guy" material. WP isn't even in the Top 10 in points for the season.

A1 - 16th
Phoneix - 21st
A2 - 7th
Oakland - 22nd
A3 - 5th
San Diego - 5th
Arlington - 20th
Atlanta - 8th
Indy - 22nd
Daytona - DNS
Detroit - 7th
Toronto - 7th

This gives him an average finish of 11th-12th.

Seems of these guys need to lay off the WP40 Kool-Aid. There seems to be a lot of it around here. The guys fast on a bike...no doubt. Faster than most (if not all) of us here on the forum. But the guy isn't the next top contender for the win at a Supercross. His name comes up any time there's talk of an open ride anywhere. Looking at the results though, while being a contender possibly...he isn't a sure thing for anyone.

Shane
I would think if any ones going to be JS7 teammate next year, its his brother Malcolm. The guy has shown he has the speed in SX & MX. I think with more seat time, he can be a top 5 guy on the big bike. I just don't see that out of WP.

I beleive K Roc will kill it again on an RM and used to love watching him race in the Gp's.

As for money didn't they offer Reedy 2m to go there and I also think money is NOT KR's god, he wants to be the Best then the $$$ will come with extended contracts, sponsorships bonuses etc. He will be paid top dollar to race for RCH and if he stays injury free will be right amongst the top 4 fighting each week. I would prefer him to go to Chad's team but I dont think he likes the bike.

Are my statements coming true?
I've not seen anything that leads me to believe RCH and Yosh are merging into one team. If that happens, I will gladly give you a gold star for being out front.

I would assume that they're going after Dean Wilson, considering that they tried to get him to race 450's this year. Haven't heard too much though.

There was also the incident where he kicked his bike off the stand on TV. The one where he wanted to beat Matthes up. And the one where he acted like he was going to punch a course worker at the X games.

I admire what he's done with his career and I do root for him but those actions are potential liabilities for a sponsor. Hopefully he puts actions like that behind him-I think that Spodegate was way overblown myself.

Why does it matter what brand of bike a rider is on? As long as they are on a bike they feel comfortable on and on a team they like, I don't care what color the bike has.
You don't have to buy the brand your favourite rider uses.
I am a long time honda guy, but none of my prefered riders are on hondas these days, and I don't care.
Wait, that was a lie. Top Jimmy is.

Some of these guys are really into the brand loyalty thing and think their rider is riding that bike because he's loyal to it as well. Some even think they have their sponsors because they really like the product.

If Kroc doesnt win A1 his confidence in the bike will take a shit.
IMO I wouldnt have liked constantly doing RandD at the races= breakdowns and a bit of concern for it. Swapping shocks back and forth etc.

I am a loyal honda guy too for various reasons... But if you paid me millions I would ride what ever turd you put in front of me. As simple as that, and no reason to think that the top guys are any different. Heck, if someone else paid for my spares I probably would ride something else.

About the sponsor thingy.. On this side of the pond people don't even know what products they are sporting on their bikes. You see geico graphics on bikes pretty often, but when you ask them if they really really like insurance or what they have no idea what you are talking about. Cracks me up every time.
And dont get me started on the canned fermented monster urine... Nobody likes that stuff, just the logo.

I think you have Roczen & Dungey confused. Sure, Roczen would like his bike set-up perfect. But when the gate drops, he races what he's got - doesn't think about what the bike is doing right / wrong @ that point. IMO, Dungey is constantly analyzing the bike. I think this might come from his first year with KTM. It was a development year & they didn't expect to immediately compete for wins, Phoenix was a bit of a surprise for them. But, with that whole year being so focused on setting up the bike, I think Dungey has had a bit of a hard time shaking that & just being a pure racer when he needs to.
