Cool thread! I can't decide on a few decades...

70's Graham Noyce's 79 Honda 500
80's Johnson's 85 Factory 250, or Omara/Dymond's 125
90 MC 96 CR250 or Fro's KX250
00 Stefan Everts' 06 Yamaha 450 or James Stewart's 125 any year
10's 2012 Honda MXGP bikes or Cairoli's 13/14 350

Wow, just checked, so that's a long standing hole in my MX memory. Granted I was 3 at the time so it's all revisionist history to me!

You want to ride Bubba's Amateur bike? ;0

I read an interview with RJ, he said he test rode the 85 RC250, and was 4 secs a lap quicker, signed with Honda, then the production rule started in 86.

Don't know why, but I liked the previous generation more... Just the shape I guess...

I wasn't even born yet for the first two you mentioned, so I'll take your word for it. I agree with your last three for sure. Those would be badass to get your hands on

Carmichael's 02 CR250R.

Honda bent/broke the rules with that bike more than any bike, probably ever. A million dollar two-stroke.

Tough one.. think i'd have to go with an MC bike for 90s - factory suzuki rm125 (jessimine pastarana millsaps) for the "00s" and a factory honda 450 for the 10s

I remember an interview with Watts, he said RC's SR250 in 2000 was probably tricker... More one off parts etc.

McGrath's Honda is at the top of my list for the 90's

I'm going to start with a 1978 RC500. 208 pounds and 62 hp worth of hand built, sand cast and custom machined titanium, magnesium and aluminum magic. Now that I have a pipe, and at the moment having a silencer handcrafted by the exhaust manufacturer to the stars, she'll be coming back to life soon since her last ride in 78.

How about the 1983 SR500 of Howerton? Needs some TLC but it will be like his other that currently lives in Australia (there were three for Kent, two ended up in rotation as practice bikes). When they were testing and told Kent they could tune it for up to 80 hp, he knew there was a holeshot in his future. Some tough company in this pic, mot to mention some serious works machinery.

I would pass on riding a works bike from the 70's or 80's to get some extra laps on MC's '93 CR250 and JS259's '05 KX250.

Any 2010-2014 RMZ250 that was as close to works as possible.

Stewart's 125 was Factory Kawi, not PC Kawi! He was one of the only Factory Kawi small bore riders in the last 20 years. RC was not even under the Factory Kawi tent in his 125 days but his bike was a Factory Kawi with PC stickers from what I remember.

I'd like to ride a full on PC bike for 4 hours. I realize the engines are designed to go only two hours, but it would take my old slow ass four to go two.

MX Keid, Larroco, Huffman and Reynard are the other factory Kawasaki KX125 riders from the 90's and 00's that i can remember, and also was it Paul Carpenter that rode the KX250F out of the factory truck in 04?

Hum I do not know, however I wish I had that in my garage:
JMB 125 CR 1987 or 88 (to ride, otherwise if only for watching CR 250 88 Bercy or 500 1989 111 Unadilla)
Pastrana 125 RM 1999 (the one in San Francisco's bay)
JS7 125 KX 2002/3 259 (the one he came from last)
CP377 125 YZ 2014 Smile (do not tell anyone but CP will be on a 2 stroke at Glen Helen!)
