6D helmet users

About to take the plunge for one next week. Any opinions on them would be much appreciated. Found a place that's selling them for almost $200 less than retail for brand new so I really don't want to pass the deal up. Just want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth!

I found the foam pad that sits on the top of the head to be uncomfortably thin, so much that I wouldn't consider wearing a 6d until they fixed that .... currently wearing a Fox V4, very comfortable.

love mine so far, havent had any zach bell crashes but so far so good.

pretty comfortable, no problem with the foam

my Shoei V-FX is more comfortable but not nearly as light, 6D's are feathers

I love mine so far. I don't think it's any less comfortable than my Shoei. I took a nice little digger a week ago and it did it's job.

I bought one after comming off a crash on a Shoei VFX. I will never buy another helmet except for a 6D. You will not be disappointed!

My next helmet will be a Bell Moto 9. I believe the 6D is a great helmet but I think more balance between high speed protection and low speed protection is needed. 6D may have Shoei, Arai, and Bell beat in the low speed area, but I think they lack in high speed protection compared to the competition. Not the mention the competition is cheaper.

Zach Bell's crash was a great advertisement for the helmets but I think Wil Hahn's crash and resulting injury may need some examination. Cracked skull? His brain sounds like it's good but and that's the main point of a helmet. Anyone else got any news on that?

Why will you never buy another helmet except 6D? Fit and finish?

Or did you have a equal crash with both helmets for comparison? (and sustain less concussion with the 6D?)

I read somewhere there were issues with dirt clods getting between the helmet and liner through the vents? did they fix that?
