That he seems to be developing a serious drive as he matures. A drive that wasn't as easy to see in previous years. And what if he had a serious trainer routine where he was at his max conditioning and perfect weight? Could he even be faster? Like top 2 3 one day?
I think he has not reached his potential yet. Don't mean this as a knock on him. Just observation. I think he has serious potential to become like all the top guys. RC, CR, MC, JS and the like. I certainly hope so. He obviously has insane bike skills.

I know your being sarcastic...but really, I think it would really help Mookie if he found someone besided James to train and ride with. Someone totally objective, and not of the Stewart "network".

Maybe that's happening already, for all know.

He may have the mindset that he will never be faster than his brother, so riding with someone else may be a good thing

I think you'll see a different person when he gets on the 450.......

I would bet if you compared the number of hours on bikes that James had at the same age as Mookie is now...Mookie has FAR FAR less time on bikes. What is the point? I think his natural talent is very under rated, and he will continue to get faster and faster....

I heard from a few people years ago that Mookie didn't even want to race dirt bikes and was more into fishing

Would that make him like a lenny Jr if he was more into fishing. Just kidding but somehow it fits.

Someone who won't be a buddy to him, and won't be afraid to tell him when he sucks, or isn't riding up to standards. RV had to get Aldon because nobody else could bring him to the level he needed that was in his camp already. It might require the same to unleash the champion in Malcolm.

If I was Malcolm I'd stay exactly where I am, around people I know...He'll get faster...

You guys do realize he works out at Rockwell and is under the tutelage of Tyler Kalisiak when he is in cali? He works with Justin Hill a bit too there.

Mookie just exploded onto the seen! You hardly heard abut him racing amateurs! Kinda silly for him to train ride with another rider. He is riding with one of the most talented rider to ever ride a bike. I see him top 3 in a few years.

I think Lenny is right , with saying he should stay in the Stewart camp. He can learn a lot by just riding with James. BUT....I think he could take advantage of having a serious workout routine. He does look a bit big ( think he takes after his dad in that area ).....but Malcolm has a bunch of talent , you can see it in his riding.

I'm a huge supporter of Malcolm's .......but he has that same trait of going down quite a bit.( What's plagued James entire career ) For one....I think it's the damn 250's he's riding.....the boy NEEDS to get on a 450 and stay there. His riding style smooths out tremendously when he does. He'll be more competitive on the 450's as well ( I think ).....especially outdoors.

I hope he takes the next step , and that's realizing that it can be a great job with great benefits if you treat it " as a job "......and not something you do just for fun. I think he would even surprise himself in what he's capable of.

Me don't think so. Will get shuffled down the order when he graduates. I do think he will be better on the big bike, but also get beat by more guys. Especially outdoor.

i think he's progressing well despite being taken out a lot this year, when you watch the red bull straight looks like he had something for james think he made him sweat a little (not that it represents real racing but cool to watch)

Budds creek 2013, moto 2, RD5, RV2, and.... Mookie, yeah problems outdoor my ass.

If the guy could just stay on a 450 for a supercross/outdoor effort, you would see better things.

Mookie has improved this year. I believe he will continue to improve during the coming years. I don't think a change in his program is necessary.

He killed it in the ams but wasn't all in. He would rather be fishing back then. He has a ton of talent but needs to relax and not get bent when things go wrong cause they do a lot in this sport.

Mookie for sure has not reached his peak. He's still young, give him 2-4 more years, then I think we'll see something. Not Bubba something, but something.

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm sure he rides with high caliber riders all the time. Not just his brother. Nonetheless, riding with James Stewart will never make you any slower. And being his brother, he isn't going to pout about how he will never catch up to his speed. I'm pretty sure he knows that already. He has said it many times.

He's been improving this year already. At the first bunch of west rounds, he couldn't hang with Seely or Anderson at all. Last weekend he held his own and beat Cole. That was not happening earlier in the season.

Yes, it is pretty obvious he is down on power on a 250. He really tries hard to make up for it with his muscles. But there is no substitute for HP. And with his size he is definitely down compared to guys who weigh in from 125-155lbs.

And yes again when he is on a 450 he is better no doubt.

I think I am just trying to illustrate that in my opinion (only an opinion not known as fact) that he has a few levels left as far as his training and mental toughness goes. That in time, can propel him into future greatness. This is not to say they the kid does not try, does not train, does not try real hard. He obviously does. But I think I see that with a hair more maturity and time in the big boy class he could be a serious title guy one day.

I hope so.

Weight is less of an issue in the 250 class than ever, the fully-built team bikes near 50 hp.

Malcolm can win 250 supercrosses and would be a favorite for 2015. It would likely be worth getting the experience of winning at this level before jumping up full-time. He'd likely be paid better too.

450 Outdoors is a good geal, I want to see a Mookie/Peick battle.

I love to watch Malcolm ride! He puts his all into it, uses a ton of body english, has great style, and goes for broke!

I think this year he has finally started to put it all together. The last few seasons have been plagued by some big time crashes. I would love to see him back in 2015 on the same deal...Lites SX and 450's outdoor. He could be a title contender in Lites SX.
