Tommy Hahn

Edited Date/Time 4/11/2014 9:32am
If you haven't already, go check out the interview GuyB did with Tommy Hahn at the main page. Tommy is looking to make his return soon and he sounds poised and determined to do so. How do you guys think he will stack up in either the 250 or 450 class when he makes his return?
Here is the link btw for those you who don't know where the Homepage isTongue http://www.vitalmx.com/photos/features/Tommy-Hahn-Unfinished-Business,3…

Even if he fully devotes himself, you don't think he could become equal or better than his old self?

I know RV has run away with it this year and probably the same in the outdoors, but the field is deep. All the riders look to be going a little faster, than when Tommy was racing. Dunge, Roczen, Stewart, Webb, Tomac, Barcia, Brayton are all riding fast. The 250s are equally stacked, if not even more competitive. I think it will be too hard for Hahn to match their speed regardless of his dedication.

Granted it wasn't the deepest field, but when he filled in for factory Honda in 2012 outdoors, he had great flashes of speed and led a few motos. I say he is top 10 in the 450s with an occasional top 5, hard to judge with the 250, depends on how good of a ride he can get. Just hope he can stay off of the ground

Guy's like Hann have the talent there is no doubt, The only question marks will be age , desire and the right opportunity.

I honestly hate these come backs, especially if the rider retired and was somewhat healthy.

I can definitely agree with that but my hope is that he will prove us wrong and come back strong. I don't think he will win a championship like he wants to though

Good luck to him, but he is going to have to get his fitness to a whole other level before he gets any help I think.

He did 26- DNS and 37-34 last year when he did those two nationals.

I think you'll be surprised, prison mate. Why wouldn't he be capable of making a main event anymore?

On a side note, will he be racing if he is not given a ride? It sounded slightly like this all hinges on whether or not he receives support. GuyB?

I thought he looked good on the Honda. I know it wasn't perfect but he had some pretty good races IMO. I wish him the best of luck!

Yeah, I agree. After listening to his interview I certainly wish him the best. I have my reservations but hopefully he'll do better then we think. He is talented on a motorcycle, though no doubting that.

The last words from TH in the interview were "I just need a bike".

Wonder who might have room in their program for him? Geico? Rockstar KTM? PC? Husqvarna?

Why would you Hoosiers think that he lost all of his speed? He has always been fast, that wasn't the issue. It was staying healthy. Tommy has been riding the whole time and I hope he comes back and does really well. The Hahns are a great family and awesome for the sport. Classing keyboard idiots.

Im sure he still rides with his brother and he knows exactly how fast he is so that means he knows he can still be competitive.
Good luck to him. I always liked him.

Tommy's first few years on the honda, I thought no one had ever had better style ever. So many photos where he just looked so dang good. Cool to watch!

Was a Tommy Hahn fan for a long time. Lost a little respect for him when he was talking crap behind Matthes' back, but still hope to see him do well in his comeback.

Great to hear. All respect to Will, but I think even he would say that Tommy probably has a little more talent than him. I see him getting to a level Brayton is at right now. Top 10 guy with occasional splurges in the top 5 and possible a podium threat when everything goes right.
