Haha! I did this in 98 at the Wyoming state fair race in between washougal and Millville. Most surreal race I ever been to.

If your an Aussie, Tycon denim padded pants and Tycon padded Alligator top that when wet made you look like you had a beer belly and Rossi boots, Careara googles.
Also had a boost bottle and at one stage used a nylon ( plastic ) rear sprocket.
Hungry creek moto park north of Sydney and riding the supercross track the day the built it before they added the jumps. They had T'shirts for sale that read, I've had a dirty weekend at Hungry creek.
Attending a Stephen Gall motox camp at Hungry creek on your new 1980 Honda CR80ra that cost $649 out the door.
Watching dad ride a 2day enduro and 90% of the entries didn't finish, it was that tough and bike not as reliable but everyone had a great time

You went to the Superbowl of Motocross in 1972 and still have the original program.

That's because you're not old yet!!! Also don't forget that there is life after MX, it's called "the woods", and it's really not that bad.

If you're really old you did at least a season of hand on helmet starts.

Your mom rules! So you were that kid with the sl70 . I was the kid who had a 3-1/2 hp Tecumseh mini bike with a broken throttle cable that I had to use visegrips and ride one handed. I hated you btw.Tongue

I remembered two more things....There was a block that had two holes in it, threaded for spark plugs. You'd hose clamp this to the frame and it would hold your two spare plugs without damage...

And the gasoline.I THINK...We'd mix 50% regular leaded with 50% high octane unleaded. Why? I dont know, but everyone else did.

If you know what THOR stands for. If you wore JT V 2000 shoulder pads. If you had a double leading shoe front brake.

I don't mind trails or the occasional HS but I hate roots and around here(upper Michigan being the closest to "here") where all the trails have been beaten to death you see a lot of roots.

How about the first pair of "pre-curved" gloves you put on.

And...

When you watched Johnny O. at Sprockets Park wear out the 250 expert and the open expert on his RM125. Johnny was 16.
Watching Johnny Oshow at Wed night Ascott Park MX on his Suzuki TS 90

He had the infamous dove on his bars at a TransAma race in Boise in the early 70's. I was there riding the support class.
