They have talked the talk, who will walk the walk?
Will the former rivals renew their rivalry in 2014 now that Max is on perhaps the fastest bike in the class?
We looked at it here:Anstie v Herlings 2014

This part is not really true either.
The only thing i can see possibly happening is Herlings, in a quest to beating everyone so bad, beating himself and wrecking.
Therefore, what makes him think he can? Herlings just barely started riding before Qatar. And will only get better.
When has Anstie EVER beat him?????
I think he just underestimated his competition and made two poor starts which made it difficult for him. The track was pretty fast and everyone was riding a similar pace.
Herlings may take a few rounds to get back to 100% but in that time, Anstie could get a lot of confidence running with him and that maybe what he needs to challenge him the rest of the season. I would love to see some competition in that class especially after last years domination.
I thought they didn't have enough testing done on it before Qatar, but would be riding the '14 for Thailand?
Well hopefully the '13 holds up if that's what he is riding.
Pit Row
There's a life outside Herlings and Anstie...
But I guess the -14 motor isn't quite up to par with that amazing 13 cosworth motor yet.
“Yes it was the 2013 bike - Why? because we have a good set up for these races and did not want to rush the 2014 till it is fully tested, but the potential is higher with the 2014, the standard Yam 2014 is fantastic and such a high base that a lot has to be done to get it considerably better. We have it ready but just need more time on the mapping and data side.
We only decided on the Sunday of Hawkstone to miss it and go test the 2013, then he loved the engine power and we did two days testing on suspension and the took the bike on the plane!

Fair play to Max,he was out there leading and arguably had both Motos in the bag, that track suited him,his US experience helped him no doubt,as he was the only one who hucked that massive Quad FFS!
