Heck RV, JS and Reed all have said that 2015 will probably be their last year. That will leave a lot of room for moving around. I would love to see at least one of these guys (RV) if not all go over and try for a GP title before departing. It would be the first time I cheered for Villopoto.
Agreed. Would love to see RV spend 2016 over there, just for the inevitable MX Geoff meltdowns that would result from it.

Man I enjoy your responses to this stuff! Everybody's bench racin' and thrown' their $.02 and you drop in with your awesome buzzkill, conspiracy comments.Laughing

The funniest part is that you're right- AND you didn't waste a bunch of time typing "armchair manager" theories!

Thanks for the laughs!

Last time I checked vital speculation does not equal "close to coming true".

Vital speculation states: "Ken Roczen is staying on KTM because he is German, and KTM is Austrian, and Germany and Austria are pretty much the same, apparently"

I highly doubt Dungey and Roczen both end up at RCH. Both of those dudes are 1million$ or more salaries. Jake wiemer's salary was reported out at 800k. I bet Brayton, Tickle, Hahn and those guys fall in the 300-450k amount. Any of those guys arent riding for less than couple hundred k per year.

Nobody has mentioned Reed bringing on another rider. I am sure that will happen sooner than later. I want to see Wilson on a kawi.....no ktm!

Steve mentions that he's heard these rumors from credible sources that

-Roczen going to RCH and keeping Redbull as sponsor

-Barcia to JGR

-Dean Wilson to Factory KTM

-Brayton to partner up at Kawasaki with Weimer (Personally I don't see Kawi resigning Weimer and I hope they go after somebody else rather than Brayton. They have Wilson and Baggett both ready to move up to the 450. I'd rather see Wilson stay with Kawi, or maybe try to combine the salary they would have spent on Brayton and Weimer, then try to pry Eli away from his rider option at Geico)

What do you guys think?
Roczen - could see it happening in regards to KTM, also think Honda might bid for him too
Barcia - yep could see that happening (or RCH)..or, if JS retires, to Yosh Suzuki
Dean - nope, cant see him going to KTM, much more likely to TwoTwo
Brayton - nope, not to Kawasaki but could see him at KTM maybe
Weston - he has the most options open in my view, and I doubt it comes down to who has the biggest cheque. He could easily go to RCH or to Honda (he rode Hondas in Australia last year, not that that means much I guess) ..heck he could go to any team he liked.

Or the possibility of Malcom Stewart to be James' teammate on the 450's at Yosh?

An old Austrian and an old German are drinking beer in a bar.
Austrian asks „Is there a football game tonight on TV?“
German „ Yeah! Austria-Hungary“
Austrian „Whom we’re playing?“

Of course Roger wanted Dean a couple years ago but Dean choose JW Racing and Monster over Roger and KTM. I thought that was a huge mistake on his part. If you are a young talented rider like Dean, you do what you have to to team up with Roger and the Red Bull KTM team.

Why would Roczen leave KTM and go to RCH? Or why on earth would he want to ride even a factory Honda?
I'll say he stays...

So how does Ken with Redbull fit with part owner RC and his Monster deal? I know KTM has made it work with Rockstar and Redbull but they are considered different teams. I just can't fathom KTM letting Ken go and thinking Dean would be a better fit.

On Supercross Live when Big James was on there he was saying how he has been trying to make this happen for a while. I see that happening unless TLD signs him again. Might as well have Malcolm there since the whole Stewart family is already there.

I don't see Kroc to HRC, whats the up side? other than more money (would have to be a insaine amount over what KTM would match. Sorry don't see KTM being that dumb, letting go of kroc would be giving away titles for sure, dont see it.lol BTW i don't care who he rides for I just don't see any up side at this point in his carrier may when hes used up and old going to honda(:

JB I can totally see on a new ride, matter of fact anyone on the honda would be better off going to Husky or TM or any of the China bikes....

I could see Kenny going to RCH, and here's why...........
When he was racing the GP's for Suzuki, I think he left to go to KTM, because he knew that his best opportunity to come to the US and race was to go through KTM. History speaks for itself and how many KTM imports have came over VS. other teams. I don't think he would've had the opportunities (teamwise) to come over if he would've stayed on the Suzuki. His Suzuki team choices would've been Rockstar Suzuki or Yosh Suzuki and he was already a Red Bull guy over at Suzuki-Europe and a loyal FOX guy.
As far as the RCH, I could see him being persuaded into the glamour of the team. I think he want's to be a household name and I can't blame him. He's only human.
HOLY SHIT. TALK ABOUT A CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!Smile

We are on the same page.

RV suggested he might do a year of GPs when his US career is over. How cool would it be to travel Europe in a RV (four wheel kind) seeing the continent while racing on primarily new tracks?

How times have changed. I never thought I would hear riders and/or fans speak ill of Team Honda. Chad Reed's statement on CBS's special of Honda's control did not help. In the past, "tuners" like Cliff White had the Honda factory bikes dialed in.

Seems like the Sales and Propaganda dept. at Honda has taken over the race team. Reed has immense experience with what works, and some suit in an office somewhere tells him he can't run the forks he wants?

Seems like Honda threw out progressive improvements to their bikes in favor of gadgets and half baked technology.

How else can you explain those stupid worthless twin exhausts on the factory bikes? Nobody wants to run those things.

Until Matthes wrote this article, I didn't think there was any chance that Kenny would leave KTM to go to RCH. I thought he might leave to go to Kawi and become RV's successor, but there is the conflict between Monster and Kenny's Redbull Sponsorship. I can see the benefit of Kenny riding for RCH and keeping his Redbull $$$, and Kenny certainly looks amazing on the KTM, but what if he rides the Suzuki and likes it even more? The RCH bikes are like James bike supposedly, so they're both factory bikes. I see it coming down to Kenny's preference of bike because KTM and RCH can both shell out the $$$ to sign him I'd think, but I would think KTM might have the edge in that if they go into an allout bidding war?

I still hope Kenny goes to Monster Kawasaki and rides with RV for a year before becoming the new #1 over there. I see Kenny and Eli battling for Championships after RV retires.

Not taking anything away from RCH but red bull KTM seems like a much more stable home. Ricky and Carey are doing a hell of a job over there, but let's be real. If they sign a major rider with a major salary, they are 1 backing out sponsor away from being broke. I doubt Ricky wants to be on the hook for millions if Dodge decides MX isn't in their future plans.

Yeah, RC and Hart are doing a really good job and they do had support from suzuki, dodge, casinos, etc, but I agree with you, if things started to go sideways, I would have to think KTM has more $$$ in the bank and more stability. Despite that, I do see RCH establishing themselves and becoming an even better team in the future, whether they sign Kenny or not.

Because the Suzuki is a better bike and we hear constant rumors of how the ktm guys struggle with setup. Why would he stay on ktm if the bike isn't good. Bad bike and the company with the least money

That would almost certianly be a performance based deal if it happened. Malcolm is good but he's yet to win a 250 race, and a 450 isnt going to just make him better cause he's a big guy. Bowers won a race last year and I belive he's in the 190-200 lb range.

If we're ranking him on sx speed right now he's 8th-9th fastest out of both coasts.
