I'm just barely watching the 250C practice and they look like Novices on that track. It must be SUPER gnar bro.

I see what you did there.

I like this week's layout much better than Atlanta. Nothing wrong at all, ruts are motocross.

Mreh, it's definitely better than what it has been, I definitely think 2 triples are silly tho, they pose no issue to the riders, i'd rather see more ryhtms/big berms or 2 whoop sections.

Don't mind me, I'm still just bitter and twisted that Reed is out. ha

I cant think of anything more freaky than getting thrown off balance buy a rut on the lip of a 90ft triple, and coming down on the other side trying to land square in a rut sounds nerve racking as well.
Supercross triples all used to be 64' now I think they're all 70'

AMA SX and MX has gone way to same same with dirt and dirt prep. Definitely has to be a factor in why the US team hasn't been as comfortable at a few recent MXDNs.

I also think the track's good. Some good battling and plenty of lines.

I thought the track was excellent since it was so difficult but I didn't have to race on it. Like the notion of less triples in this thread. My ideal tracks have more flat corners than bowl, a couple of off cambers, a wall section and to have at least one section that isn't WFO but something pretty technical resulting in one minute lap times.

Seen plywood from the start of SX back in the 70's nothing new.
Tonight's "Plywood" deal happened in spots where riders really needed traction and it was not there. The builders should have known from past events where ground is frozen and brought in that it thaws and soon enough you have ruts and plywood.

They did a great job until the wood showed in "needed" portions of the track. They should have seen it coming from past experience.
Like I said in my post above

Not a trademark AMA/FIM/Feld replica SX track.

Thankfully.

It actually made riders pick different lines, and make decisions, rather than race 20 identical laps.

I am sure, from a racer perspective, the same track for 20 laps would be preferred.

But from a fan perspective, a challenging/changing track=better racing.

That is how RV got a broken tib/fib and Hot Sauce ended up in the Hospital with Broken ribs, collapsed lung and broken collar bone at St Louis a few years ago.
I enjoyed watching the race though

that bare ground lost davalos the race tonight. they should do a better job keeping the track safe. theres no excuse for that. they had all day to see how the track was breaking down

Eli said he felt like a C rider.

Cole said he rides nothing like that.

Dungey didn't really have any complaints.

Cianciarulo seemed spooked by it, but was happy (and surprised) by the result.

They didn't really complain about it, though.

Dirt Wurx had worked tons of lime into it. It was just saturated when it came into the building.

Thanks, always amazed at the amount of work they do building primo tracks every week but this one did look sketchy.

I think the track is what it is. but theres no excuse for it getting down to bare ground. I think we can all agree on that. that was my point.

Don't have an opinion. That's not what message boards are for.

After RV's accident I thought they woulda got spooked. They literally lost a title chase because of not enough dirt at the bottom of a jump landing.

Seems like a fairly easy problem to fix

They'd all be fine by me if they rid of the stop and go walls.Might as well be doing an enduro time check.Unsure

best track yet and I loved the conditions. I think met life stadium will have similar conditions. I like conditions like that cause of the obvious, anything can and will happen

Only a couple things I would have really liked to see the "wall" moved somewhere else other than right after the whoops. It seems to me having a wall right after the whoops makes the advantage for being really good in the whoops almost nonexistent. With the ruts it didn't matter too much, but with normal conditions I think it would have hurt the riders who are normally strong in the whoops.

I also would have liked to see some more rhythm section options. It seemed like everyone was on the same rhythm pretty much all the way around the track, other than Chinchilla quadding into the one section. Again, the ruts kind of minimized the impact of the sections having the same flow for most of the riders.

It looked good once they groomed it. I liked it after that but it just fell apart so bad by the 450 main. They really should of groomed it for the 450 main event. When the track falls apart that bad they need to groom it more. When you get down to plywood then somethings wrong.

We were sitting right in front of the triple that was on the edge of the track coming out of the 90 degree corner after the rhythm section, and I've never seen so many cased triples in my life as in the 250 main. Must have seen at least 30 separate occasions of riders casing that last jump. One privateer on a Yami did it repeatedly almost every lap, and then cased it so bad one time, his bike came almost to a complete stop. He pulled off the track immediately after - looked like he might have broken a wrist Pinch

NFL combine all the way through the 25th not allowing ample time for the dirt to thaw mixed with the worst winter we've had in well over 30 years might have had something to do with the dirt...it's not like the dirt is stored in a climate controlled facility all year...it's dirt...mix it with ice and snow and below freezing temps for 3 or 4 months and you'll have conditions like last week.

BINGO! Conditions in Indy, that they have not had in 30 years. They have had snow for almost 3 months, and temps at 0-10 for damn near the month before. You hit the nail on the head.
