"I'm just saying that the reactions have more to do with the particular rider than with the actual t-bone. "

A person's track record always influences our reaction to what they do...and it should. A first time offender is always accorded more leniency when it comes to punishment or in the case of public opinion.

In the case of the Alessis, the hits just keep on coming and their reactions and excuses are the best evidence that they live in a world apart from us and are really sociopaths. Glen Helen, all the minicycle dramas, lasergate, "DC assaulted us", drug rings...and now this...

Rc is pissed because he riders barely make the main. Then one funds speed and gets taken out. The joke was on them guys when alessi stomped both those goon rch riders! Rc is mad because because he picked duds, and pieck is smoking them on Suzuki's on a limited budget.

There is a repeat history with this family of bone headed moves. The common denominator here is Tony. Kids usually follow in the footsteps of their parents. Good parents usually means good kids. Boneheaded parent usually means boneheaded kids. Two kids who are brilliant at being boneheaded in the public eye and a father who has a history of this also...doesn't take a genius to see where the problem is.

Time for the AMA to give them a nice long ban from competition or attending events.

It looked pretty clear last night at the show it was a take out move however.. after watching the replay in slow motion..... wow!!! Mike, WTF dude!?

I actually like the Alessi boys and everyone make dumb choices from time to time but, sometimes its hard for others to swallow.. One thing for sure, this wasn't the first move like this and it won't be the last in this sport!

I thought that I always had a little bit of an issue with not thinking enough before I act, then I discovered the Alessis.

We all have made bad choices and decisions in life, but the key is to learn from them so you don't make them again...This is where the Alessi's fall off the train...With them it's a bad decision, deflect, blame, make excuses, but never admit...Nice family mantra...Morans is what they are, alway have been, always will be.

Denial is probably one of the best known defense mechanisms, used often to describe situations in which people seem unable to face reality or admit an obvious truth (i.e. "He's in denial."). Denial is an outright refusal to admit or recognize that something has occurred or is currently occurring. Drug addicts or alcoholics often deny that they have a problem, while victims of traumatic events may deny that the event ever occurred.

Denial functions to protect the ego from things that the individual cannot cope with. While this may save us from anxiety or pain, denial also requires a substantial investment of energy. Because of this, other defenses are also used to keep these unacceptable feelings from consciousness.

In many cases, there might be overwhelming evidence that something is true, yet the person will continue to deny its existence or truth because it is too uncomfortable to face.

Denial can involve a flat out rejection of the existence of a fact or reality. In other cases, it might involve admitting that something is true, but minimizing its importance. Sometimes people will accept reality and the seriousness of the fact, but they will deny their own responsibility and instead blame other people or other outside forces………

Well what do you know.

Alessi is a bum.

Tickle could have been badly injured.

No apologies possible.

Alessi needs to take some time off....

Your post clearly proves what you were trying to deny.

Is everyone really going to sit here and claim that fans dont have biases?

Are we really to buy into the BS that there isn't a grip of y'all who can't wait for the next mishap by the Alessi's so you can send more hate their way? The death wishes on twitter prove otherwise.

Its the same whenever Bubba screws up. Whether its racism (of which there still is a lot of) or simply RC/RV fanboy trolling backlash, there are plenty who can't wait for Bubba's next crash so they can pile on.

People have biases. Its pretty easy to see with the vitriol that came out towards Jeff and Mike last nite. The intensity in which people were blasting them wasn't warranted.

If only Mike had done it to Bubba again, and not the announcers/Goats rider....this wouldn't be nearly the shitstorm it is. Fact.

People here need to check the score when it comes to whose true colors were actually shown.

I don't understand why he did itBlink MA800 rode awesome last night...all night. A sixth in the main isn't too shabby for someone that he himself states "isn't good at sx". What would have been an awesome night, and a great memory is now a night to forget.

Ya know what drives me nuts about Mike Alessi, I've met him a couple times, once at the Pool at the MGM Grand hotel and another time at Hangtown and he was one of the nicest people I've ever met, didn't seem to have a chip on his shoulder and seemed interested in having a conversation and then I see some of these incidents he's involved in on the Track and it makes me wonder if there is some Dr Jeckle and Mr Hide thing going on with him. I think back to that incident where he crashed into Ivan Tadesco and was trying to prevent him for getting back on his bike and now this incident with Brock Tickle. Maybe there was so much hype and pressure on him when he first turned Pro to succeed and win Championships that when it didn't actually happen, he gets a little desperate and does some Bonehead moves that seem to haunt him.

Jabroni: "Your post clearly proves what you were trying to deny."

Read my post again. I am not trying to "deny" anything.

Folks look at what the Alessis do more closely than with others because the Alessis have a long history of doing incredibly stupid, sometimes dangerous, things. They are a train wreck.

They deny what they do, then when it is proven they did it they accuse others of doing worse things (the drug ring and the assault fiasco, for but two examples), and when that gets shoved down their throats, the meekly apologize disingenuously...and then do something else later. That cycle keeps repeating itself and has for years.

Of course people view them harshly and have a bias...but they deserve it because they have earned it by their actions.

the big question is,if asked from the media, would magoo have told the truth or denie story.
it seems to be common practice w/ allessi corner to denie to no end, before being pressured for some truth.then they take a grudge match out of the whole thing.

I posted on another thread about this incident that I thought Mike was just totally out of shape...and upon further examination, and a dose of reality, I have to change my thinking and say that Alessi was indeed guilty of a stupid, dirty move on Tickle. The AMA's slap-on-the-hand $4000 fine is nothing to the Alessi family, and certainly nothing to the MCR team. Alessi should have gotten DQ'ed from that race and all his points and results liquidated. In my opinion, Tickle handled it like the gentleman and professional that he is...and Alessi lived up to the creed that apparently Team Alessi lives by: "Never admit guilt."

His father has proven that, his brother has certainly proven that, and now Mike has shown what he's about. Very sad indeed.

Has no one ever heard of the "pick up pass"? This is where you take someone out and the first person to get back on their bike makes the "pass". Langston was famous for that move. That's what Alessi did and he made the pass. If you're really good at it, after the race you'll call out one of the most respected racers in the history of the sport and call him a cheater. What a dick!

I can't imagine what would make you think that it would be a good idea to do that to someone. If you get lucky and don't get hurt, the person you take out will be coming for you! Oh yeah, and it's a total F'N pussy move.

Everytime Alessi speaks I just feel awkward. Like a "stripper walks into a Southern Baptist Church on Sunday morning wearing her working clothes from the club the night before" type of awkward." I don't get the kid.
