I don't know why everybody says this championship is over, have you been watching him ride? Guys making mistakes all over, he's not the same guy he was last year. What happened to stew tonight could easily happen to poto, look back a few years when he jacked up his knee and couldn't finish the series. I'm still betting on the number 7 to win this thing, he'll come back next week with a vengence. Plenty of rounds left and out of all the riders in the 450 class he is the best this year, just not the luckiest. Outdoors should be interesting.

You are absolutely right. He is not invincible. Last year in the outdoors he only won 18 of 24 motos. Dude sucks.

RV was intimidated by Stewart! Stewart is faster and RV knows it..fortunately for RV, Stewart also crashes (thank God for that otherwise this would be boring).

RV had a bobble and Roczen got around. Wasn't that big of a deal, RV is still the man to beat.

He definitely doesn't seem like his normal self from the past few seasons. Maybe he has some sort of injury he's not telling anyone about? Looking back at last year's races, he looks faster to me. Maybe it's the pack that has caught up that is making me think that. Usually when he gets a lead, it's over. This year he's consistently been reeled in or pulled away from. Very strange.

I also wondered the same thing. A lot of guys shrugging it off as nothing, but in seasons past it seemed like if he got towards the front, it was race over and you knew he would win it. And most of the time he did. I love seeing the battles for the race wins, there is nothing better, but also wonder if Villo is maybe not at his very best, possibly carrying a niggling injury??

Yeah but that was 2008 lol. We are talking about now. James is riding awesome and he's right there with RV if not for his two bad races, but RV's no joke and he's not scared. RV has the points lead and is cruising.

I was at the race last night and my opinion is that he is struggling with setup.

He could not get power to the ground. RV's rear tire kept breaking loose. He was making a ton of mistakes and then he rolled this one section because the lights went off. Roczen closed the gap from 2 secs to less than 1 with RV rolling that (not the triple where Roczen made the pass).

You could tell the guy is frustrated and does not trust his bike. In stark contrast, KRoc and Stewart are dialed. Roczen put that bike where he wanted.

I miss the RV that would abuse the track. Hopefully, RV gets his bike figured out.

RVs 18/24 is ten times more impressive than bubbas 24/24. RV did his number against Stewart and Dungey, James did his against Cody Cooper.

Yes, he said exactly that in his post-race interview. I think you are right and that if the team does get setup squared away, we will see the RV we are all used to seeing.

Possibly a fraction of doubt has entered RVs head. Huge mental aspect to the sport, as I'm sure you know.

i thought he was invincible coming into this season. To be honest, I'm pretty shocked he's getting beaten like he is.

I think what is happening is villy is not willing to take that risk anymore to ride faster than he wants to.

He still had the fastest lap time of the night but there are a couple pieces that he will need to sort out. Riding
the practice track with Kenny might not be the best thing though.

I agree that RV has and is managing his risk/reward, I do believe he has his eye on the prize and would not be surprised (if he is not signed for 15 or has an option for 15) if he makes it for in a row and moves on.

He has nothing to prove and is currently helping a two excellent riders with their careersSmile
