Total bullshit move by Barcia....was he telling "rookie" Roczen (2nd in points, Winner of Rd 1, beats Barcia every race his year) "You can't pass ME...I'm Bamfockinbam"
I like Barcia, but moves like this drop him down on my list FAST!

Considering Barcia has a track record of bonehead moves, including scrubbing in Metty's face and making contact, scrubbing Kenny at Budds and pulling in front of Reed last year without looking i'm not suprised.

Anyone who thinks it was cool or racing should think about what would have happened if they hit. I'll tell you what would have happened.

block people and hit them as much as you want but keep it on the ground, i the air there just isn't enough control to avoid contact if its getting close

i used to like barcia but shit like this makes me want him punted over a berm by kenny

This is what I expected to see from Barcia when he graduated to the big bikes, though he's been quite well behaved IMO trying to gain respect vs a continued reputation. This put him a step back in my books cause he obviously knew exactly what he was doing. I think he is somewhat jealous of Roczen given his immediate success in his first year. I don't think if Reed or Villopoto was behind him that he'd try to fly swatter them with his bike. Do these two have any previous history because I don't remember any?

I thought Kroc owed one to Barcia ala Phoenix. He had him right where he wanted him but didn't close the deal. The way to handle this is never comment that you got someones number. When asked Kroc shoulda just said. "Scrub? What scrub?". But the next time Kroc has a chance it's a little bam bam medicine in return.

I hate to say this, because I'm a fan and have so much respect for all the pros, but I'm really starting to dislike the guy. I can't ever recall having negative feelings towards a rider in the two decades I've watched this sport, but he has done a lot of stupid stuff. That move could have ended both of their seasons, and he knows it.

"Stamp this" : Barcia's self created self concept of himself is going to get him nowhere (winning a title) racing in the 450 class. His approach to living up to his own reputation only allows for people behind him to close in on him, and people in front of him to pull away. He has also shown time and time again he has the emotional maturity of a twelve year old when he gets stressed. Once again, just another advantage to his competitors.

It was definitely a questionable move. He did get on the podium, but probably could have gotten there a little "cleaner."

I am not one to enjoy seeing reckless moves just for shits n giggles but the tears on the podium every week, hugs n kisses between training buddies and follow the leader ain't exactly my thing either.

I guess I don't get it. Until recently most were screaming that Dungey was a pansy with no balls...he gets agro and people say WTF. Barcia does what he always does and he's a dirty SOB. Kenny, Villo and Brayton have a terriffic race but since they didn't "Bam Bam" each other...it was boring. There's just no pleasing some folks. I thought it was great night of racing. Glad to see the East boys get started. Happy James got another one. Bummed Reedy is hurt as bad as was suspected. Surprised that Adam Cinnamon kid has matured so quickly and really is fast as snot. Goerke is one of my favs so I was pumped when it looked like he got a decent start till he crashed and landed in my living room floor.

yeah I know what you're saying but I love aggressive RACING like block passes taking lines away in corners all that shit if your faster and going forward 'move or I'll move you' type deal
but I hate aggressive BLOCKING like stopping the guy that's faster aggressively which Barcia has a habit of doing, I'm not saying you can't make it really hard for him to get past but don't take him out or cross jump which is essentially what he did.. like hank said his passes this year have either slowed everyone down or needlessly ruined a guys race..

There's about 30 feet of air and a fair few MPM difference between doing it in a berm and doing it over a triple.

Yeah I like tough racing as much as the next guy, but intentional shenanigans in the air are just flirting with disaster.

It probably wasn't as close as we think, but had to make Roczen nervous none the less as it would have most people. Remember what Big Foot did to Stewart outdoors. Wink

Some of you are hypocrites! Who knows what to think? One day, it's rubbing is racing and the next, it's safety first. I remember Bam Bam cutting across on Dungey at a national in 2011 and many of you called Dungey a pussy for getting upset about Barcia's tactics at the post race interviews.

Bob Hannah says he'll break a guy's leg if need be, and he's a hero. Vince Friese cuts a guy off and he's an asshole of epic proportions.

But Hannah was a fast guy and Friese is a lapper, you'll say. OK, well Barcia's a fast guy so what now?

Well Im not surprised by Barcia, he did the same thing to dungey a few years back in outdoors. dungey said that could have been a career ending crash for the both of us. So this isn't nothing new. I think its barcia trying to get into kennys head. The top 5 guys all right with respect for each other these days because they know whats on the Line.
