You're broke, but raising the bet to $80 is ok??? Careful Crash, you'll owe him your trailer if you lose the next one...

The raincheck is one thing...even though I disgree with it, but like I said before asking for an additional $15 to stay and practice is just ridiculous. Why not just let everybody know the race was cancelled because of low turn out, but let the riders go ahead and practice for no additional fee and if you don't want to for whatever reason give them a raincheck or their money back.

I'm always broke a week before payday, heck this way I can stretch it to the end of SX! Seriously Alessi looked damn good last weekend a podium will be no sweat.

WAIT.....HOLD ON.....

It's bad for someone to need to talk to a manager about a cash refund, but it's your responsibility to chase Crash down and send him whatever he wants upon his demand that'a buried in some forum post, in order to get paid what he wagered with you?

Shouldn't Crash have sent HIM an email or a PM in order to request his address, not depend upon him tripping over some request in a thread?

WOW....Talk about double standards, hypocrisy and every other superlative possible......Gee whiz....LOL

This right here is exactly what's wrong with society today..

Maybe they should've stormed the sign-up building and grabbed the track operator, tied him up and dragged him around the track for a few laps. Then burn down the snack bar and just for good measure run over the entrance booth with their truck on the way out.

Then they could come on Vital and bitch about how they couldn't use the rain check they were given because the track is closed.
No you are what is wrong with society, just laying down and taking it up the ass when someone takes your shit. Sir, ' mam, errr shim whichever you are. Here is a theory for you cupcake, what if the op was from out of town and decided to race while he was there? A rain check would do him fuck all any good now would it? I understand he wasn't but maybe one of the few others that showed were? And I give no fucks about a disclaimer or whatever as you posted previously about, so that makes it ok for somebody to take your shit? Because they told you they were? You obviously have some affiliation with these people.

You missed what I was saying.......

I would of asked the guy who runs the place if I could get my money back. If the guy offered a rain check and I hadn't planned on coming back again that year , I would of asked for my cash back. If I was planning on racing again in a few weeks....a rain check would of been fine. BUT....if I couldn't make it back there for the rest of the year and you refused to give me my money back....that's where the problems would start. Either hand it to me right there or mail it....wouldn't matter.

See? I wouldn't get pissed until I felt like I was out right robbed. Kind of like what the OP went through.

Do you know nobody got their money back?

The OP didn't go through that same situation, he just left and complained here. Not that I don't feel where he's coming from, but I know I would have gone straight to the sign up booth and said I won't be here for the next race and I'd rather have my cash back. I've done that many times over the years for one reason or another and every time I got my cash. CMC, GFI, AMP always gave me cash if I asked for it back.
After the "bad news" I did walk the pits and rechecked the sign up booth. The sign up booth was never opened that I could tell and I do not know the promoters, but I did not identify anyone that I thought was the boss or any more in charge than the guy that I had already dealt with.........so yeah I left. He knew I wanted a refund and refused.

Also, it's not about the $30 here. It's about the principal of the matter and maybe helping others that might end up in a similar situation at any track, anywhere.

I have e-mailed the promoter at the suggestion of a few on here and will be happy to report the resolution.

I agree I handled it poorly! I may have sent messages there are actually 2 others I owe 20 to, I think I sent PMs either way no one replied and it was pretty easy to forget on my side. I think one of the other ones said he wasn't expecting payment on an Internet bet. So I wasn't going to argue that. Either way classic Dave right there, he should take up yarn making, best spinner deflector fabricator I know ! Thanks for the laugh Brah, you were right about how I handled it I should have hunted them down same as if I had won but it's no way related to a refund at a MX track! BTW me and S dog are cool, he was F'ing with me. Dave we got to get together sometime, seriously I've mellowed over the years. Holler!

LMAO.....this is so funny I can't stay away. They were offering a rain check or asking for $10 more to practice. Just so you know, NOBODY WAS LYING DOWN AND TAKING IT UP THE ASS WHILE SOMEONE ELSE TOOK THEIR SHIT, as you so elegantly worded. My first instinct is to tell you to STFU, you sound like a condescending lunatic with a shallow vocabulary!........but then I start to think, no, it''s your type of absurdity that drives these threads to be so fun(ny)! Carry on.

Wrong !

She's aware of this thread but has decided to let her minions do her talking. She would never admit wrong doing, ask Mr Primm.

You know, anythings possible and hindsight is always pretty clear.

I have no skin in the game either way. It's suspicious when someone posts a complaint thread about being "robbed", in a special circumstance, but made no real effort at the track to resolve it. It can be argued 6 ways from Sunday should the customer have to do this, or is the track policy unfair and so on.. That's the guideline, and that is a common guideline among race promoters.

More time was spent crafting this post, than trying to come to an understanding at the track and have fair treatment. Since the OP did spend time and money getting there, it would make sense to take an extra 5 minutes since you're already on site to attempt to resolve the issue.

If he got and answer like, stick it pal I'm doing nothing for you, I can see the forum avenue being an outlet for aggression.. In this case it just appears that the most important thing was to put this out there and try to darken the promoter image. This wasn't the only forum the thread appeared on, which is also suspect.

I am curious if the OP has used the email address provided, and attempted to get a reasonable end to this situation?
Good post. It does make so much better sense to try to see someone in charge before heading off mad and then running to the boards.

My understanding of the reality of this is that everyone who asked for a cash refund from Stu got it, no problem. CMC is pretty easy to find and to communicate with in far less time than the complaint posted here and on other boards took. Why no effort to try to get hold of them in the days after the event and get it handled if it was not to the rider's satisfaction at the track?

The bottom line is that CMC has been around forever, has helped riders build careers by staging some really fine events on the Left Coast through the years, has built and/or run some of the iconic tracks in SoCal, has gone to court for riders so they could choose where they wanted to race, and has stood the test of time when other promoters have come and gone, pissed off riders and the factories who tried to support the racing. CMC has done it right and done it well...for more than four decades. CMC and the people behind it have justifiably earned a bit of a presumption that this whole deal might have been a mistake by a minion at the track and perhaps not handled as well on site and after as it could have been by the one raising the complaint.

Industry "insider" or 3K+ posts is the way it seems if you wouldn't like to get bashed for your story/opinion/observation. Thats just my thoughts though.
