Reed is never as strong the first few rounds in relation to the comp as he is later in the year. Not the fastest but reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated. Solid start.

Agree, He was faster and smoother than any rider on the track till that point. Must have pissed off the moto gods or something. Still can't understand this mans luck. Kills it all night till he gets a little greedy,maybe should have waited to pass Kenny.

Man, that was hard to watch Stewart go down in the whoops. I was rooting for him and thought he had it in the bag. He was looking soooooo good.

yeah, Reed was impressive tonight.

twas a good night at A1 as far as I'm concerned.

I think there is even less certainty going into Phoenix than I though there would be. Everyone has speed! This is gonna get good!

Its not the bike and its not luck.. James entered the whoops way faster than he could handle, he gets excited and rides above his head, sometimes he pulls it off other times he yard sales. RV could go that east through there too but he knows its a HUGE risk. Stewart Gambled - Crashed then gave up & walked away.

You never know what to expect come A1! Dungey was consistent and that got him on the podium and Reed looks good on that Kawi! Stewart looked great but does what he always does....

I didn't and as a long-time Reed fan I just couldn't get my hopes up again for 22 getting a podium tonight. I called >10th finish, and said that if he got better I'd be super pumped.

A1 is just one race. If he's riding tight and finds a way to get more comfortable then he stands a good chance of being in the championship hunt all season. First, he needs to prove to himself that he can do it. A podium next week would be a huge confidence boost.

Great to see him on the box tonight.

Motodave, l think his set up was fine tnght , those whoops where really cupped out n looks like his rear wheel lost traction n dropped .either way it sucks, he looked flawless till that pt. And obviously his speed isnt a question. Sucks. Long week for us #7 fans! Congrats to kenny! Way to come back reedy!

JS7 making the same pattern of mistake as always. Had he pulled up and settled for 2nd he'd be down by a few points and could easily make that up the following week. The high-side tonight wasn't necessarily his fault, but then if he had backed off a smidge would that have happened? We won't know now.

Reed fan again. I agree with this. If he digs deep and "loosens up" as he put it tonight, maybe he can improve and get some straight up podiums. Wins will be hard to come by for anyone, let alone #22.
