I know that most people have a favorite brand of bike, but what I want to know is how much of a fanatic you are about it.
As for myself, I have owned and/or ridden all of the major brands and have nothing against any of them. Having said that, my personal preference is KTM.

I am not a fanatic of any brand. I tend to base my manufacturer decision by riding the line between "what allows me to go the fastest" and "what will last me the longest riding that much".

What I can say however, is riding that line usually means orange or blue. I will never own a kawi and zook ever again.

Being "brand-fanatical" is really NASCAR-ish. Being "brand loyal" is another thing.

I rode all Hondas until I got my current Suzuki and Yamaha, so I really like any of those brands a lot. The only complaint I have with the Suzuki is the transmission issues!

In my experience, the Honda guys tend to be the most "myopic" of all the brand fanatics.

I have owned all of the Jap brands at one time or another and yes I rode Honda's for 14 straight years.

Truthiness. My brand loyalty lies with Yamaha. Reliability and performance will probably keep my riding blue for a while.

As OW38B said, I have friends with hondas that are all honda this, honda that. Forget that they have starting issues and hardly ever finish a harescramble, honda is the best no matter what.

I've always been loyal to Suzuki, but I think my next bike will be a KTM...

I was a pure Honda guy until recently, after riding a friend's set-up KTM 450. The Honda felt like it was made by Leggo in comparison.

You started off so good with the punctuation and everything. Then after the first sentence it's like you just got so pissed off and said FUCK PUNCTUATION, JUST WRITE IT HOW YOU SEE IT IN YOUR HEAD!!!

As for me, I just lost my top end on my yamaha 450F. It's a 2008 with probably over 300 hours on it. I'll probably stick with Yammie for awhile. All of my other buddies with kawis and hondas are replacing top ends every year or two.

To be honest.... Honda fit and finish and ease of maintanace and reliability HAD been superior in the 2000's.... Yamaha always had a killer motor and couldn't turn, Suzuki trannys blew apart like a cheap bottle rocket, and my '01 Kawasaki 125 was slower than an 85. Now a days though.... You might as well just pick your favorite color... With the clamp options out there, linkages, etc you can make any bike handle the way you want. Same goes with power. Get the programmer and boom, it's easy to make any bike work like another

The reason I originally liked KTM's was the fact that they used high quality parts back when the Japanese bikes all came with throw away junk for bars, chains, sprockets etc. I think that has mostly changed on the Jap bikes lately though.

i was a honda man true and true , just cause of reliableity , even when i knew other bikes suited me better to ride , i got over 600 hr s on my last 450 crf 07 , i intended on changing it in 09 but rode the new crf did nt like it , then i heard the reliblity issues , clutch, gearbox , i am finally getting a new bike an rmz 450 , bike fit me like a glove , was 2 secs a lap faster on it when trying it out , after a few laps , loved the thing , i feel honda really had the edge over every one with reliableity , but not any more , since they changed in 09 , have seen loads of thing s go wrong with them lately , the gearbox on the rmz always put me off them ,but i believe that the prob has been fixed on the 450 for a good few year now and seem a very soild bike , i find it very interesting how many people are saying how reliable the KTM s are , here they are know as the least , buy a long way , i know people will come on and give out that ktm are great bla bla bla , but i am not talking about the guy who gets a brand new bike every yr put 40 hr max on it , if anything is happening before that on any brand its prob a lot to do with maintenance , i have nothing against ktm 2 stroke there rock soild bike s, prob the best out there ,but the four stroke s, are a diff story , i said this before and got attacked by people ,who were like i have 10 hr on mine , best bike ever , unless u have a 100 plus hr on ur bike , dont talk about how reliable they are imo

I have a Kawi at the moment, but that's only because the RMZ has been similar for so long. I'll buy one when they come out with a new bike. When it comes to Supercross and the Nationals, I cheer for Suzuki to win more than any one particular rider.

Only brand I've never owned is Kawasaki. I'm on a KTM now and they've won my future purchases with their apparent care for their consumers

I currently am on a 2012 KTM 300XC but have my eye on the new 2014 6days 3hunny. Last bike was an 08 CRF450 which I liked too but just like every one of my friends, as soon as I rode a 300 I bought one. There is simply nothing the bike wont do.
